The game is in a very dire state. I've been playing for around 10 years by now and it has only ever gone downhill since, but now it has really become a dire situation. The economy of the game is in shambles. You can practically only avoid breaking even by having an premium account together with premium vehicles, which both cost a fortune.
The tone deaf response from the developers to the community's outcry about this really makes me sad for the state of this unique game.
Over the years community outcry has not been rare, but it has always practically stopped when gajin reverted the change, to only slowly bring it back to its initial bad plan regardless.

If the devs choose to not listen to the community this time they might have to shut down the game which, at this point, will just influence them more than it influences the players. The game already plays horrible anyway.

I hope they make the right choice or an actual competitor arises.
