HO.... LEE.... ♥♥♥♥.... I was not expecting such an amazing game here. I picked this up on discount for like 3 bucks. Its been on my wishlist since it came out and i finally said f-it and bought it. i mean... 3 bucks... come on. I walked into this game with absolutely zero expectations since i remembered all the god awful reviews it got when it first released and so i was expecting to play it for 1 or 2 hours, get tired of it and ditch it. Little did i know this was going to be such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing ride. This game has just become a classic for me to replay every couple years and gush about all over again. 1 full playthrough later and i can confidently say that i ran into zero bugs. zero glitches. and zero performance issues. This game blows the first one out of the freaking water. If Homefront revolution had released with this amount of polish, then im confident that this game would have taken the internet by storm and received mountains of praise. This game in its current state deserves a mostly positive overall score. sadly alot of old reviews are mucking up the waters. This game is fantastic both in its gunplay and in its atmosphere. The story is pretty damn good, with a few cliches here and there but thats nothing to dock points for. Also when your playing the game it actually FEELS like your doing something. like your liberating philadelphia, and this is due to the strike points and the hearts and minds mechanic. The more strike points you do the more friendly territory there will be in zones and youll see enemy patrols get repalced with wandering freedom fighters, talking to each other, grouping up for a patrol, scavenging the buildings. GREAT atmosphere. and in yellow zones, when you start to get hearts and minds higher and higher youll physically see the change in the world as people will start marking walls with spray paint, hitting things with baseball bats (which is alittle silly seeing) and generally talking ♥♥♥♥ about the KPA. and the more you accomplish, the more people will recognize and comment about your actions. Its fantastic. I absolutely love this game, and if you are a fan of the series, or like the whole city freedom fighter feel, or are even just a fan of first person shooters, you NEED to play this. Wait for a sale like i did or pick it up now. The base game is absolutely worth the money.
