The latest installment of Quake, the juggernaut of AFPS, the original rocket-jumping-insta-gibbing-bunny-hopping-casual-destroying juggernaut, carrying with it a legacy that includes the first #1 esport, the first true 3D FPS, and the massive influence both mechanically and aesthetically throughout the industry, still clearly visible to this day. Quake at it's core is one of the best examples of a perfect formula, not just in video games, but ALL games. Thats right bucko, this series doesn't just take a dump on its predecessors, or dominate a genre for 10 years, no, Quake is the best human-made game since some aristocrats In medieval times carved out the first chess board.
