Just as everyone else says. It takes about 3-4 hours to finish this title depending on your pace. It is very much linear, but this isn't the type of game where exploration is at the forefront. Its about the story and personally for myself it was about the nature of the main characters.

Generally I believe Edward is far more layered than what people take him for and its his condition that pretty much makes the game for me. If you know what his condition is it adds a deeper layer of depth to the story and one that can lead to something more if they decide to actually revisit this character in the future as teased after the credits.

So when you play this game really take into account the personality of the two characters involved. What those personalities mean in relation to his condition and everything happening around him. Draw on the information given to you about what's fact and what is fiction. In my case that made it far more enjoyable then thinking of him as just some basic tortured soul with an obsession.

In many cases sometimes its how your thoughts are going into a game and if your the type of person who actually would be interested in it. This is a game in which your own personal conclusions and thoughts along everything being shown to you and revealed is going to decide whether its going to be a good game and in my case I was fortunate that it was.

Just as when Morpheus offered the pills to Neo. Think about this game as if Neo had taken both those pills -no water- and just ride that wave.

[This game is only for the good and the just]

From the hours I have gone through playing this game, I can say that while it is enjoyable...the way it is now limits you to pretty much becoming the good guy. You could play this game and not get caught once stealing or killing and your reputation will tank. Do anything that's unjust your reputation goes down no matter what. Its like they look at you and just...know.. your no good.

To give some examples...

- You knock someone out from behind and somehow their able to pinpoint exactly that it was you without seeing your face and after the fact you've changed all of your clothing. I knocked them out in my best pj's, stole all their money, left for a change of clothes into my finest armor....come back to town the next day and I'm being arrested.... Never steal from a psychic, they always know... always. This pretty much forces you to have to kill anyone you intend to knock out. Leaving them alive just isn't worth getting thrown in jail if their automatically going to know it was you when they wake up.

- The other issue with stealth is the fact you can stab someone with your hand over their mouth...guy sleeping next to him wont hear a thing, but the guard outside will come bursting in to arrest you. -_-

- When you steal something...everyone somehow magically knows that its stolen goods. Even in the next few towns over. Their information network is not to be messed with.

- You can kill everyone in the house, steal all their goods... o_o But if you leave that dog alive he will bring the law down on you. Yes, the dog is a witness. Leave no witnesses. I don't know about the pigs...they seem alright.

- Other problem with stealth is...well some guards you can't kill from behind and honestly I've yet to figure out just what it is that makes them any different. At first I though maybe its just the one's with plate armor, you can't stab them in the heart so of course they can counter you...Nope, stabbed a guy in the heart wearing armor no problem. Only thing I can guess is that some of these guards just have various levels. Some suck at fighting and others are good, but you wont know which one is which until they counter your sneak attack and alert the entire castle your trying to kill them.

My advice...get good with the bow and just head shot the guards. Carry their bodies into the dank darkness and then you can stab everyone else. If need be. Pick pocketing is of course a good option to take if you don't want to kill everything in your path. Remember, you can't knock them out. They'll just wake up and snitch on you. There is only death for those you once intended to give mercy to.

Now if you intend to go the proper route to get your money then you most likely wont have any issues with this game. If your a thief...if not good at pick pocketing you might as well be a serial killer.

:) Despite all that...it's still good fun and the fact you can use mods helps with countering what makes me dislike the game. Hopefully they patch the issues or someone mods the fixes in, either way I have a feeling there's going to be plenty of madness ahead.

I've had it for what seems like forever and finally decided to play it as Mankind Divided was already out. Thus far I can say I am thoroughly enjoying it. There are quite a few augmemnts that I feel are quite useless though such as the radar, seeing through walls, & seeing my own noise. At least for me it is.

Of course if you desire to play through it a second time, I recommend going with your play style in the way of augments and just getting the rest later to add a bit more variety and spice to you gameplay. I certainly intend to replay the game on the highest difficulty with all augments at my disposal. Though I am uncertain if I will be able to unlock them all before the end of the game.

Below is the first part of my own starting experience with it. I definite recommend you all play this. I could go on about how good it looks, the sound, but its nothing you wouldn't have already heard about. If you don't have this title yet....buy it, breath it, live it.

Aside from a few glitches I received while recording ( and the main one where you first talk to her brother in the city and it freezes everthying. ) I did enjoy this rpg. - Ensure not to speak to her brother when he first shows up if you've joined the Net of the Mask. Not sure about the other guilds.

For those who are recording this by the way and having the problem of levels not loading completely because of the software your using to record. I simply stopped record before going to the next area where it was going to mess up and resumed it, then edited the footage together. I've only had this issue occur after I completed the final mission for the Net of the Mask guild. Not sure if its involved in some way with that.

My only main issue with it is the fact that the armors you get feel absolutely useless. Unlike other games where your new armor increases your defense to everything, you get armor that only protects you against certain weapons. Not necessarily bad, but the problem is you tend to get these armors "after" you've finished the area you needed the armor for to begin with.

Like I just finished Africa but I don't get the African armor that defends me properly against their spears until after I've beaten this section of the game that I will never return to. Kind of pointless when the next area makes the armor I get in Africa completely useless.

Only best option here is for me to just hack the game just to get the proper armor I need for the level because otherwise I'm never going to use it.
