"What kind of things would indicate that a game is made for a younger audience?" Well, I'm not sure why *I'm* being asked such a question but my opinion is a number of things; simpler game mechanics and puzzles, as well as controls for starters. Language and themes that do not push past a light PG-13 rating and do not get explored in a political or societal way. A lack of overall violence, disturbing imagery, and intense themes. Bright art and colorful characters are a visual cue some might consider but I don't think it's anywhere near as reliable. And of course, many video games can tell a mature and complex story that older audiences may like while utilizing the things I listed, but I still think a game can be enjoyed by adults while being *made* for younger audiences.
