If you gonna play Conan Solo build either hidden or somewhere high. While you're low lvl and build from sandstone, not many people will bother raiding you. But when you switch to tier 2 - get ready. I would recommend you watch a couple of channels on youtube. First is a guy who gives great ideas how to start easily. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCL7xE0SkXfNvnkNK7yDIFvQ
And the second builds amazing bases. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCtJHitiWpk7V9cxrYNFwtA He is Turkish, btw, if I'm correct.
Good luck in game. Conan is great although buggy as hell.
