Good old school fun

It was almost a yes to recommend but the frustration at the ease of death and totally unforgiving reload points just tipped the game into frustration. And those bats need to sod off.

Edit replying to developer: Nope, no bugs, plays well. Just far too much repetitiveness when you die miles away from a save. The bats that dive bomb you are mean! (but again, not bugged as far as I know).

I need a "meh" option. I played a bit, it looks good, nice premise. But damn, is it slow....

I have no idea why the negative reviews, I loved this game. The style is amazing and the non-linear progress and exploration keeps things fresh. A slight dip in the middle where it was a tiny bit grindy but mostly upgrades and perks make you feel you're making progress and ultimately pretty powerful (outside of huge bosses anyway). I'll reply to get other endings.

Great little metrodvania game. Unlike most of the genre it's metroid elements come from getting new movement skills making it great fun to dart around exploring. Love the graphics and the music. Quite short, can be 100% completed in under 2 hours even when playing casually
