This mod existing is proof why being able to spend 100$ to get a mod of a source game on steam was a questionable decision. While it has given some fantastic mods a chance to get spotlighted, for example Entropy Zero 2, it also means someone's terrible first mod like this one also gets on.

Creator, I would genuinely consider removing this and reuploading it on an external mod platform instead. It existing here is just begging to be endlessly mocked/harassed over it til the end of time. If you ever create another mod or project or game and it ends up on steam, people WILL connect this back to you and use it as reason to ignore any future projects.
I am sorry you spent 100$ to upload this mod to steam, only to get endlessly mocked for it.

That being said this mod is terrible. It reuses a lot of assets and even flatout maps or parts of maps from other mods or the existing retail portal games, has the worst Vscript "Custom Guns" i've ever seen(with the majority being ripped off from other, better mods), has a nonsensical story, has the audacity to use AI voices, and some truly terrible puzzles. Its puzzles are fond of hiding portal-able surfaces far in the distance hidden from your view, red herrings all over the place, and introducing new mechanics that are worse versions of existing mechanics, that are also used only once and then never again. Shoutouts to the Host Timescale gun that is shorter than the intro to this mod.

The maps are poorly optimised if they are optimised at all, and whatever maps aren't stolen from another project tend to be square hallways with sparse detail. And thats not counting them doing 'ITS THE BACKROOMS!" twice, which i can't tell if its because the author is a 12 year old with a lack of creativity, or some excuse they made for their own shoddy mapping.

Ill repeat this again. Creator, I have hopes you will improve and make stuff in the future that is good and use this as a springboard to get better at level design, writing, etc. The fact you finished this mod and felt confident enough to release it on steam is an impressive first step, but please. Take this mod off the store. It's Stolen assets make you look bad, and any future products you release will have the shadow of this abomination lingering over it as long as this exists.

Honestly kinda boring. Maps are pretty but actual gameplay was kinda tedious and uninspired.

I genuinely do not remember when or how I got this game. Saw it in my library and decided to install it and give it a shot.

Highly do not recommend picking this game up even for its cheap price. The only thing i can praise about the game is some of the artwork looks great i guess?

The dungeons themselves are ugly and are just tiles on a blank nearly detail less background. The writing is... odd, with bringing up plot elements that never get addressed or answered, and just feeling like a whole lot of nothing.

For the game play itself, while it could have been a great idea on paper, it is marred by frustrating hit detection(The floor is tiles how the ♥♥♥♥ is the hit detection for standing on a tile to be able to move or cast runes NOT WORKING HALF THE TIME) and baffling decisions, such as melee enemies still being able to hit you even if you dash, or companion abilities requiring a massive amount of set-up, requiring both generating the special runes and then setting them in a pattern, only for them to be hardly worth the pay off.

There isn't anything here of note, it is a forgettable title.

I really wanted to like this game. I went into it impressed by the high quality assets, hoping that even if the Demo felt a bit generic and underwelming, that the effort clearly put into the visuals would mean it would come off as overall a solid experience.

Instead I sat through boring work conferences and picking up trash with the world's slowest walk cycle for about 40 minutes after 10 minutes of introductions and boring co-worker chat.

The best parts of this game are the SCP-239 and Here Be Dragons segments. I am a toast segment has impressive pixel art, but it overstays its welcome fast as it's basically the same thing 3 times.

The other segments feel dull and uninspired. I am also confused about the general choice of SCPs chosen as they don't seem to offer much room for actual narrative exploration of the concept, and as as result the majority of the game is just re-tellings of individual articles which doesn't do the game any favors.

Looking at the feedback document, it seems they genuinely have no actual plans for the DLC and are just casting a random wide net of a random collection of series 1 scps, many of which offer little to no potential for a game adapation, and grabbing random popular ones.

Generally this is just a rather boring unfocused experience. Also the main overall narrative is poorly written and doesn't really explain or make sense by itself, which is a problem.

Once again i had my hopes up for a solid SCP game of some kind that could offer a solid experience, and instead got garbage.

Honestly, this DLC is incredibly disappointing, especially compared to Part 1(At least, launch part 1).

The new enemies are cool but really aren't used in encounters well. The levels are fine, they look nice, but the actual encounters feel stale and boring, especially compared to TAG part 1 that put a lot of effort to make each encounter as difficult and stand out as possible.

Some of the new ideas are great, like the MEat hook Grapple points, and i love most of the new demons(Cursed Prowler is just annoying and not really fun to fight though, and not in the Good Annoying like Carcasses). But the actual DLC is such a let down in terms of difficulty from Part 1 that its hard to recommend and just feels REALLY stale.

And well, the worst part of this DLC is the final boss, 100%. For the massive build up given to it via the previous DLC's ending and all of the hype built up by Hugo in the streams and teaser trailer, the actual boss is just plain bad. Takes forever to kill but not because its hard(its literally just a Marauder with extra health), its not fun to fight, and its just flat out lame. Its not a horrid boss fight by itself even if the timing of its green strikes are few and decided by RNG when he'll do it, but considering its supposed to be THE DARK LORD, the 'BIG BAD' of hell, the guy built up to by the last DLC who is a literal doppleganger of the Slayer himself and who got his whole fight dedicated to himself as a separate level, its horrifically lackluster.

Ontop of this, alongside this DLC's release, they went back and heavily nerfed elements of the Part 1, which is just strange. its not nearly as hard as it was previously, with a lot of the harder encounters nerfed, to the point of nerfing the Possessed Marauder in the last Slayer Gate, which is odd considering they added that not too long ago in response to people's complaints the gate was too easy.

The new weapon is fine, but basically renders super heavies a non-issue.

i originally picked this collection up for halloween, having seen good things in the previous collections. Sadly, this pack was a massive dissapointment. There is only a few games in here that I would consider good, and only one that actually managed to be somewhat spooky.

You're better off looking up the game Submission on youtube than buying this whole pack just to play that one fantastic gem, as much as it sucks to say.

Early Access Review
I recieved this game for free as part of a giveaway hosted by the developer.

Honestly, this was incredibly disappointing. Im aware this is early access, but what is here is not even worth a few bucks. A total of 3 puzzles in the entire game, one of which has serious flaws(looking at you, red room with nearly impossible to see dots), and none of which are particularly difficult(2 of the 3 of them are converting stuff into numbers). There is a fair amount of assets that just look bad(2d sprite scroll, 2d sprite grass come to mind), and pointless mechanics that add nothing to the experience(Why does the flashlight and the Lamp even have limited light if they're only used for 1 short section each, and dont provide any gameplay depth or interest outside of 'OH NO IF YOU DONT HURRY UP YOU WONT SEE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'. Theres not even any recharging batteries for the flashlight's segment, its just one slow walk down a dark hallway).

There was a few clever attempts at scares i liked(and by few, i mean I liked the granophone turning itself back on if you turn it off and walk away), but the vast majority are cheap screamers with a loud stock horror sound(I swear i heard the one used in the R.V multiple times), or are sometimes impossible to actually see leaving only a loud noise. Some of them were even more funny than anything else(backing up from T.V. screen expecting another cheap screamer only for THE PAINTING to come screaming past my head).

Infact there is a lot of just baffling mechanics in general. Why can you rewind, pause, stop, eject the tape, etc, if its only used for a single tape, and there is no point to pause or replay it? Theres nothing hidden in the tape, infact pausing it just shows how there is LITERALLY NOTHING in the tape chasing the person. Why is there a control option for "fire", something you can never actually do in the entire game? Why is there a random glock18c sitting outside a room once you get the flashlight that you can't use?

The game also suffers from "Idiot main character syndrome'. From walking into a red shed with a corpse on a table without a care, to not even attempting to dial 911 on the phone in the house, to refusing to access his car simply because a knee height wooden fence and a rock that he CAN STEP ON is in the way. He also flat out refuses to equip any kind of item he could use to defend himself even when he has very good reason to assume something is wrong(moving manniquins, the weird floating ghost telling you to preform HAIL SATAN that made me laugh my ass off) despite having access to both an Axe, a Hammer, and a wrench. He doesn't even consider using the axe to get back to his car. Not to mention the complete refusal to even consider picking up the random fire-arm he stumbles onto.

Not to mention, my favorite lazy design trope. Nonsensical barriers. Im fine with the smoke, whatever, its super-natural. But being unable to fit through a gap between a tree and a Rv that is clearly human sized? Several furniture items a 12 year old would think to just move out of the way? There has to be a better way to block off a passage than this.

Finally, the actual 'plot', if you could call it that, feels nonsensical. You show up to some old lady's house, suffer a head injury, then go through Disney's Haunted House attraction of jumpscares. You randomly teleport to a different house, things just kinda happen for no reason, and then it randomly ends with 'YOU DIED'. It's not the interesting kind of vague, its just flat out non-existant.

I will say that the game does look good at several parts, even if the setting isn't particularly original, and while i can't be sure, it looks like you did your own assets and models for the game, so good job on those, they do look quite nice. However, the actual experience is so underwelming, i cannot recommend it.

Considering this game is 17.49$ canadian, there is SO many better games or products you could get for that price. This price is a rip-off for how uninspired, unfun, and plain BORING this game was.

If you want to improve this product, i would advise, first off, get rid of all of the stock horror game sound effects for the 'jumpscares'. They don't add anything and infact make it less scary due to how often they are already used. Secondly, cut down on the amount of jumpscares. Jumpscares are a tool to be used wisely, not to just throw randomly into a level to make people get 'startled'. That only works for so long, and if thats the only substance you have to scare people, it wears thin fast. Thirdly, focus on some actual direction. It feels like a random mish-mash of elements currently(a lantern and lantern oil, a flashlight, two different houses, etc) and from what i gather from the episode 2 preview(i think thats what it was?), its going to suddenly go a sci-fi direction. Don't. Focus on an interesting idea and setting, and make that work. Jumping between areas does not work 90% of the time unless they are at least connected in some reasonable way.

This game is incredibly boring and mis-leading. I was promised a survival horror game, I got a generic indie horror game about crouching around sneaking past incredibly boring and almost laughably silly monsters that had terrible direction and level design. Its hard to be frightened by 'monsters' that are just dudes wearing sacks over their head that are blind and try to punch you out, and the cheap attempted jumpscares i've ran into turned me off even more. Feels like im playing Outlast but without any of outlast's good sound design.
