Mewnbase is a very pleasent game. It's very peaceful and quiet, so if you want to feel like you have a moment to yourself just to enjoy, but also be doing something in the mean time, i would say this is the game for you.
Now, i will say that this game isn't very complex. I wouldn't not reccomend that you go into this with the mindset of "I'm going to build this super complex base!"
You could, but you wouldn't really find that much too do.
This game is mostly for relaxing, rather than this "fight for survival, nail-biting adventure" type of game.
In other words: Just relax.

I have had the game for a day.... one.... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... day.
by god, i actually think this has been one of the more balanced smash-bros-type games in a long time. give or take a few characters, mind you.
the game can really be played how you want to, but f you really want to prove yourself to other people, you have to know when to switch the strategy, and boy does this game put your reflexes to the test.
you will have to memorise combos, know when to dodge and when to attack, and of course, get your friends in now and again for a good ol fashioned beat em' up party.
this game is really good and i could not reccomend it anymore. if you like smash brothers but don't like how unbalanced it is, go for this game, it is MUCH better.

This is the story of Old Man Phillip:
Old Man saw a lady by the name of Elv on his way to canada, who he decided to bring along with him in support and hopefully as bait i the situation was dire.
they scouted a few areas and for a while it was just the two of them gathering supplies.
Then they met the one, the one man(?) who would become the legend of the road, and a legend to tell for years.... the man known as Octodad.
Octodad was fierce and clever, he healed the teammates with upmost skill, cleared zombies using only a metal pipe and a pistol, ignored bees with an iron resistance, and was the best damn scavenger the world had ever known.
one night, it was raining particularly bad and the group decided to pull over at a house, having 55 food, 75 gas, and tons of bullets, not to mention a gas effecient car, the group was ready for anything.
then it happened, a siege in the middle of the night, being completely outnumbered by the massive horde, the three heroes ran into the kitchen, they took out what few zombies were in there with ease, but another problem arose.
the zombies gathered outside the kitchen in a huge pack, not willing to enter, but not willing to leave.
this showdown lasted for hours to see who would break first, at 11:00 at night, phillip stood up with his nightstick and said "We have no other choice"
Elv tried to reason with him to see if they could hold up just a little bit longer, after arguing for a little bit the choice was left to Octodad.
arming his metal pipe Octodad burbled out a confident agreement, it was now or never.
Old Man Phillip burst from the room and swatted a zombie on the head with his nightstick, killing it instantly. That was all the horde needed to begin their attack. Old Man Phillip ran back into the kitchen as the zombies poured in. they stvied to fight off the zombies until Old Man Phillip saw an opening .
"This way!" He shouted as he ran out of the room. fighting off more zombies, he reached the exit's doorknob when he realized something. nether Elv or Octodad had followed him out.
Gunshots erupted from the kitchen, and outburst Octodad.
The horde had surrounded the exit to the kitchen and there was no way out for Octodad, switching from his pistol to his AK-47. Octodad took one last look over the horde to see Old Man Phillip still holding on to the doorknob, looking on in horror at the potential fate of Octodad.
Octodad shook his head, It was better that Phillip survive than them both die in a foolish fate of playing hero.
Phillip only stayed for a moment as rapid gunshots rang out in the house. bursting outside, Phillip reached the cars doorknob, started the car and drove.
for a while, he could still hear the gunshots down the road, but eventually they stopped.
not long after, the border of canada was in the distance, Old Man Phillip had did it. But in the end, he lost the one man who made it all possible.

10/10 would be sad again.

This game is amazing. I usually don't spend a lot of time on town managment games, but I was surprised at how addictive this game is. the vox style really gives the game some charm, every charecter is important in some way or form, and it's really noticable. doing simple things like building doors or making improvments to buildings feels really accomplishing, and the game, even in it's dull moments, still keeps my eye.
the onyl cons are: it runs on lua script, so once things start to get hectic, expect the game too go through some hiccups. there are a lot of bugs (early access, duh.) so don't expect the best user stability ever. the game also doesn't hold your hand, so you may have to go through some guides or figure out how things work on your own.

this game has a lot of promise, and I would love to see it's full form.

> faced the space samurai
> failed a thousand times
> took a s***
> came back and won 10/10
in all honesty the game is extemely fun and warranting of a 10/10. if you enjoy exceptionally difficult faced-paced holy-crap-look-at-dem-graphics games that won't take up too much of your time (If you do luckily there is an endless mode) then this is a game i would reccomend for you.
it's fast paced, a challenge to all, and pleasing too look at, with a few framerate problems. other than that: purchase it......

re-review: alright, for anyone who didn't see my first review, i basically complained about how the controls were ♥♥♥♥♥ and that the tracks didn't feel optomized for a PC release.
this time i decided to use a controller and it did indeed feel much smoother, but the game still has a couple flaws.
#1 being the AI. the ai treat the tracks like a demolition derby race, playing bumper cars with your car and constanly invading your personal space. this is constantly a problem because i thought this was supposed to be a racing game, not destruction derby.
#2 the controls still feel a little awkward even with the controller, not as bad as the keyboard, but still a little wierd.
speaking of keyboards, this brings me to problem #3: i still belive the controls with the keyboard are complete ♥♥♥♥♥. i feel like the game needs to be optimized for both controller and keyboard.
that being said, the tracks with controller now feel like they fit for a pc release with the controllers help, so i take that part back at least.
besides the points i made, it still feels like the same game, and with a few patches, i hope to treat it as such.
