Pros:
- overall the game is fun
- nice art style
- different builds are possible
- some degree of replayability(different bosses, unlockable starting items, levels layouts randomly generated each playthrough)
- not a lot of bomberman-like games out there

Cons:
- the game starts slow. Your avatar moves slow, has one bomb with one title blast radius. I almost dropped the game at first, but struggled through the first couple of runs and luckily unlocked a couple of items which made the game less tedious
- random is not fun here. Some starting items unlocks(and steam achievements) are heavily depends on random. For example you need to collect 3 certain items to unlock 1 starting item. And either the game will spawn them in a shop or in chests, or it won't and there is nothing a player could do about it. Sometimes a level is long(more enemies = more gold), sometimes it is short, so no shopping for you. Sometimes there are two shops on a level, sometimes - only one. Sometimes there are several key locked chests on a single level, sometimes - only one chest for a whole run. I hate random in this game.
- the final boss arguable is less challenging of all bosses, just stay at a top lane.

Моего литературного таланта, к сожалению, не хватит, чтобы описать, насколько тепло я отношусь к Postal 2. Отдельное спасибо разработчикам за длительную поддержку игры и работу с сообществом.

Fan of the first game. Bought just to get more snakebirds. Was not disappointed. Puzzles are much less difficult this time, finished the whole game under 2 hours. Definetly would buy the next snakebirds game.

Snakebirds are sooo cute! I think the blue one is my spirit animal. Whenever I can't solve a puzzle(which is often, coz the game is hard and I'm not good at puzzles), I just crawl around, watch snakebirds and relax. Now to the gameplay.

Popular tags suggest Halfway is RPG and TBS. I say it is else.

The main activities of Halfway are TBS fighting, running between fights and observing the linear story progression. No options in dialogs, no choice, no consequences, like reading a book. So only fighting includes actual gameplay. To win a fight you have 2-8 units and ability to give them simple orders. In theory that is enough. But there is a problem. You see, you can't actually develop your units. Every unit has 2 predefined abilities and 4 predefined stats. Stats can be slooooowly changed with equipment. A certain piece of equipment can be found in a certain crate/locker on a certain level. No random generation. And there is no vast variety of loot, you will take from mission at best 3 new pieces which are slightly better than your current. Also on most missions you have to take fully or partially predefined team for the plot's sake. So unless you have the full game guide you can't predict and plan your unit development.
But who needs fancy pseudo RPG babysitting when you have tactics! Not here. Here you usually open a door and conveniently placed enemy spots your guy. Enemies as equipment are placed in certain places on certain maps, no random at all. And there is no way to predict what is waiting ahead, only try and error. Also often you get local special treatment: your guys enter certain small area, trigger cutscene, take bad positions without your control, bla-bla-bla, then enemies appear from thin air, take a turn, take good positions and only then you are given a chance to react.
So here you are on a pretty tight prebuilt level with predefined units wearing predefined gear standing in disadvantaged predefined positions against preplased predefined set of enemies which corner you if you run and get to point blank range if you don't within two turns at best. Under this circumstance no tactic is involved. Basicly you must perform only one specific for every battle set of actions.
Thereby Halfway genre is not RPG or TBS but point and click adventure. Don't buy Halfway if you love TBS or RPG, buy if you like quests.
