An excellent metroidvania! This game brings a unique twist with the idea of connecting islands to unlock new areas, which complements the exploration very well. This was well executed with great visuals and satisfying progression. Would recommend!

Harold Halibut has an excellent story, visual, and audio design. The strength and uniqueness of these aspects are enough for me to recommend it. This was a great experience to gradually play through.

That said, this is more of an interactive movie than a game. That is perfectly fine, but you should know that is what you're getting into. It is a lot of long cutscenes with a mostly linear sequence of tasks in between. There is no strategy, risk/reward, or typical game mechanics as dictated by conventional game design wisdom. Through that lens, it would be said that the development effort was invested more on art and story design than gameplay design. Nevertheless, I think that the developers did an excellent job with what they were trying to do, and I would recommend giving it a go.

Excellent metroidvania style game all around.

Gameplay has a lot of depth and clever puzzles that utilize the abilities in many ways. Exploring areas and acquiring abilities genuinely feels satisfying. The game length is just right, yet with lots more secrets to explore too.

Very nice visuals, clearly demonstrating the value of custom engines. Sound design fits the game perfectly too.

I played through the main game content within the first three days of the release and was impressed that I didn't run into any bugs or other game breaking issues. Excellent quality assurance.

So, on the whole I highly recommend this game!

Excellent point and click adventure! I played this with a controller and it was fine.

For the parts of the game I’ve been able to play, I have found this to be an enjoyable experience with excellent visuals, puzzles, and quality of life improvements over the original.

Unfortunately the game is riddled with technical issues: I am constantly encountering physics issues and soft-locks. Ultimately I’ve reached a point in chapter 4 where my game just cuts to black and never recovers, so I cannot finish this game.

While not everyone has experienced this specific issue, I am seeing wide-spread reports of similar bugs, even on PS5. This is a clear quality control issue. This game should not have been released in this state. I cannot recommend it at this time.
