I saw the PSN account requirement and wasn't going to purchase. Then I read in discussions that it could be skipped. I confirmed this when I skipped the account linking in game after purchasing.

If I was not able to skip PSN account linking, I would have refunded immediately. You could argue that I should have dug deeper, read the fine print, contacted the companies, etc. Fair enough. I got got.

But is this how we should have to purchase steam games now? We have to get our lawyers to check everything over on every game we want to buy, looking for the gotcha? This sets an insanely bad precedent.

Years ago I vowed to avoid any live service games after being burned with this kind of nonsense. This game has done a fantastic job of convincing me that it was time to give live service another shot. Instead it served as a reminder of why I held these opinions in the first place.

So as a consumer I will do what consumers can do, and vote with my feet and my dollar. I will uninstall this game. I will not recommend this game. I will not create a PSN account. I will avoid all companies involved, regardless of who is or is not to blame. I will avoid all live service model games.

I will also move on with my life and forget about HD2 in less than a day.

If you enjoy spending more time trying to fix/debug this hunk of garbage than actually playing, this is your game. It is absolutely guaranteed to break eventually, every single play through. Complete waste of time. Save your money for devs and titles that are at least moderately competent.

Vote banning abuse has become the new trend. As a result, will no longer support this game or any other title produced by these devs.

Thieves. Can't play single player due to SC. Never played online mode, and don't care to. Never modded, and don't care to. Just want to play single player mode, but can't launch the game. Have 'activated' the game many many times, yet every time I try to play I have to cycle through DNS servers until I find one they haven't blacklisted so that I can 'activate' the game (again).

Sick of it. Done with Rockstar.

Rigged game that plays itself, with enemies that fight on behalf of the fiduciary responsibility to the investors as a business model.

Originally gave a bad review. Devs took the time to correct said issues. Good job guys.

If you liked DK way back when, you should definitely get this game.
