While their games have got shorter gradually (if you speed through it, each episode is up to two hours), their storytelling is... Honestly, better than season 2. If you don't mind shorter episodes but still the same nail-biting tension and a real increase in moments that the in-game timer just doesn't give enough time for... I'd recommend it.

The game has a very simple concept: you race the sun. The entire game is you travelling horizontally (primarily, you can use jump powerups for a vertical boost, but you never stop moving forwards) until either the sun goes down or you crash into something.

Most of the time, you'll crash. The sun can be "un-set" with booster pickups, encountered as you move forward. But this just prolongs the inevitable. And I know I'm basically repeating the blurb but this is the entire game, quite simply. It's good, but I don't think it's worth £6.99 (or $9.99, I guess). Get it maybe when it's on sale, but I wouldn't buy it full price.

Bought it purely because of its name. And it's good. Hard, but good.

This game is simple at its core. Basically, you play as Woody, who takes it upon himself to make life hell for his neighbour. You do this by sneaking into his house (each "episode" or sequence of tricks starts inside the neighbour's house) and playing tricks on him, which can vary from putting shoe polish on his bath towel to using paint remover on a painting, to even something as simple as placing an egg in his microwave.

It's a very simple game, but very fun.

This game is part of a 2-pack, released on Steam via Greenlight. The game itself was released in 2003/4.

It's a war-based first-person shooter that ISN'T a bloody Modern Military Shooter (henceforth referred to as MMS). What's not to like? Granted, the game has become overtaken with hats. But I'd say that's one of the reasons Valve decided to make the game free-to-play. They've received enough money from it thus far, and they don't need to rely on the money from every purchase to keep the game going.

Unlike most MMS games, this one isn't re-released every single year with 1 or 2 minor changes and with a new name slapped on it. This game undergoes, just like other Valve games (and a lot of other Steam games for that matter), perpetual evolution without the need to be re-released.

Sure, it has no single-player campaign. But there's the Portal and Half-Life series of games for that. It's a varied game with plenty of game modes that all run on the same sort of infrastructure but are different in varying ways. It's a good game. I'd recommend it.

This game is a direct sequel to Half-Life 2, starting exactly where Half-Life 2 left off. To avoid spoilers, I'll say this. After the first hour or so of gameplay it shifts genres from an action game to a full-on survival horror. If you're trying to get the One Free Bullet achievement it's a terrifying experience as for the most part you're relying on Alyx to shoot anything, and she isn't exactly a powerhouse. All in all, it's great. Terribly short though.

Surgeon Simulator 2013... Where do I begin with this one?
It started off as an entry for a GameJam, as just the basic heart transplant.
Since then, it's blossomed into a full game. It's a bit of a gem, this one. Its controls are intentionally stiff, but don't get it confused with the similarly named Surgery Simulator that was made by the company that made such "classics" such as Street Cleaning Simulator and Farming Simulator. Oh yes, this game is far better. Its controls may be flaky, but it's a hell of a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Don't pass this up if you love hard-to-play unrealistic surgery games.

I have a bit of a history with Lego Star Wars games. The Lego Star Wars game with the prequel trilogy (the first game) was one of the first games I played on PC. And one of the first games I nearly fully completed (100% in all ways).
I did not have the ability to play it with a controller the first time. The ability to play it with a controller helped immensely.

I can't recommend it enough.
