I wish Steam would let me nominate this game for all categories.

I enjoyed beating every level, killing every enemy, crafting every crazy high level weapon I made.
Being a permadeath fan, this is one of the most perfect games I ever played, and the best 596 hours I spent.

Mowing down fire and lightning spitting enemies with my minigun, up to my neck in blood, gore and limbs, what's not to like?
Great level design, secrets, plenty of weapons, ammo, health and shields. All in nostalgic old school setting.
How can a game be so much fun? Prodeus!

This was a fantastic game, absolutely great!
In all aspects a major improvement of the first Surge.

Until a game breaking bug happened. Going from one area to the next crashes the game every time.
The Surge 2 is now unplayable for most players.
The devs have known about this for at least ten days.
After a post simply mentioning this, they have been silent.
No patch, no news. Apparently no intention of fixing this.
We paid our money, we have been abandoned.

That is why I feel the need to warn everyone thinking about getting this game.
Do not buy it. You cannot play it. Save your money, spare yourself the frustration of having it crash before your eyes over and over.

I enjoyed this little adventure!
It is a good story, the build-up to the ending is really well done.
The graphics, specially the lighting, impressive. The voice acting is super.
Trying to figure out what next to do, meanwhile hunting for easter eggs, is great.
Thumbs up for this game!

Wow, this is a weird and great game. The environments are beautiful. The story is somehow immersive: I connected with this naked guy, and I was glad when he found some clothes. I enjoyed making my way through this uncanny world, experiencing all the very varied locations. It made me feel happy that I can just walk out of my frontdoor and have a whole real world there. Amazing game, highly recommended.

Superfun game in a world full of weird creatures and crazy events.

The challenge to survive it.

Permadeath is the best, wondering if you will ever git gud, and then actually doing good.

Dungeons, monsters, weapons, upgrades, perks, satisfying combat, lots of blood, and permadeath, that is all I want from a game. And that is what this game gave me. They don't make 'em like that anymore. Luckily this dev did. Thoroughly enjoyable. Loved it.

A truly amazing experience.
It made me happy because I have never been depressed. So lucky.
It made me realize what life must be like for people that do suffer from depression. So sorry.
