I have not done a lot of reviews so I hope this is not another frustrating one that gets lost among the others. Thank you for the taking time to read this.

So for me, this is a great buy...... if you liked the first game. You do not HAVE to have played Ori and the Blind Forest to play this one, but it will sure help you connect to the story and the characters a LOT more. The gameplay is solid, but they didn't really reinvent the wheel from the last one. The look of the game is GORGEOUS. With the animations and movements smooth as silk, and beautiful rendered. Especially if your machine can take the higher settings. The music is ethereal and matches the tone and setting perfectly. The levels are fun and challenging without being teeth grinding frustrating.

If you aren't careful you COULD get stuck from time to time, but the game is pretty good about pointing you to where you need to go, or highlighting what is needed to go on. I found the powers and customization on Ori's abilities to be ideal, even if I did tend to favor the same four or five powers.

The story and visuals are what sells this game and makes it stand above the rest, especially when this is a sequel that actually builds on the first game and takes the world a little bit wider in scope. There were a few surprises and twist (Don't worry. No spoilers) And despite the lack of 'speech' from most of the characters you never have any trouble understanding what they are feeling, thinking, or trying to 'say' to each other.

I for one will be replaying this game, look forward to if this company ever does a third game to this series (But I could understand if they don't)
