Already pretty polished, it lacks a lot of small things and changes, but is a solid EA product!
(but i hate the small painting brush!!!)
Try it or wishlist it for the future, it can become really interesting.

The game has (had, at this point) potential, as many say, but the controls are terrible!
There is no redeeming possibility here: you are not able to play the game!
A 2 on 10 for me: the game is simply unplayable with the controls and the interface it have now.

It's a more than a decent Alien game (and itself make this a miracle!), but unfortunately is a not more than a 7.5 on 10 for me.
As said, it's a good game, but suffer a lot from the competition of other game of this genre, like XCOM or Xenonauts, and so on...
It's not a that level, not even close: it's funny, but with some clear limitation in scope and features.
A bit of a wasted chance, in my opinion, but, on sale, it's surely a good purchase.

There is a surprisingly well made and very deep and complex game, beneath a somewhat difficult to understand UX and some strange control schemes.

There is a guide/manual into the Guides session of the game forum, but is still long and tedious to read.

Once you understood at least the basics process and actions (there are not many, they are just difficult to understand at first, as said), this is a very nice game to play!

The selling cost is a bit high for the product, but is a very unique game, and the devs are active on solving any issues or delivering new content, so...

At the end I will give the game an 8 on 10! Very good, just a bit difficult to play the first hour of gameplay.

Overall, a 5 on 10, a very 'dry' and uninspired experience, and could have only been acceptable with a lower asking price tag.

Very fun game and the devs really added all what they promised!
Seeing the environment around you change slowly as you terraform the planet is simply great and inspiring.
The only concerns that I have a really minus things, like: the first 2-3 hours of gameplay can be a bit difficult and less interesting.
Overall, a really good game: a 8.5 on 10 for me!

At the time it was one of the best FPS/adventure game around, with a great but easy to understand plot and a great lore!
Today it suffers the comparison with the sequel (Metro: Last Light), that was really the same, without a lot of problems and a lot more of the 'goods' of this.
So, surely recommended, but is not a 9.5 anymore, I will say an 8 (but classic) on 10 of a game.
If you want to skip it, Metro: Last Light explain the premise of the story pretty well and it's way more accessible, but if you manage to accept some flaws, try this new Redux version: is still a very good game and the start of a narration of a great story and introduce you to one of the best scifi universe around!

Why do you release a DLC for a game that is one of the best in his genre and you don't test it?
20 seconds after getting my first ship, navigate to much nearby the coast, I imagine, it just stuck on the ground.
No way to unstuck it, just reload the last save game from 1 hour before...
Don't buy it for six months and then it will be fine, for now is just to be refunded.

So far, so good: clearly EA, but with already quite a bit of content.
I read many reviews that said that supported the game with crowdfunding and they are now not really satisfied.
I cannot talk about this, as I just discovered the game one month ago and bought it now.
I always give two ratings for EA games: one for what the game is now and one for the game can be, looking at the devs plans.
For now, is a 6.5 on 10, but it can be easy become an 8 on 10, or even more, if they really implement all the current planned features.
So, if you are not sure, maybe wait for a while, but it seems a pretty safe investment of your cash, especially if you want to support the devs and love sim/management games!
