A lovely and challenging game. I was hooked within the first few minutes of playing and 100% it. Fun boss fights, interesting level design, lots of exploration of the levels that leaves you feeling both clever, and kicking yourself for glossing over obvious secrets. Highly recommend this to anyone who's a fan of the top-down adventure or metroidvania genre.

Best $5 I've ever spent on a game. Lacking some quality of life things like map shuffling and changing the number of imposters without having to remake the lobby, but still a great time with friends. Grab one of the many bots available for managing voice chat on discord and it really adds some extra layers to the experience. Highly recommended, I look forward to seeing what improvements the devs make on it in the future.

Early Access Review
This feels like it really should have been a major update to Godus, than it does a standalone game. Granted, Godus is pretty garbage, but this definitely feels like the npc battles that were in the game when it first hit early access. Between this game and Godus, it feels like we've been given two prototypes for something that will never make it to primary production.

I suppose eventually the two will be merged into a single game, and touted as a "new" game in the franchise, but I have a gut feeling that 22cans will be dead by the end of the year; leaving both games as abandonware.

For a one man job, this game is rather impressive, however, it's incredibly buggy and feels very unfinished. Progress is constantly mired down by vague objectives, or the game simply not registering that you've completed an objective. It is a perpetual uphill battle just to get it to work. I often found myself wondering if the reason I couldn't complete an objective was because I was doing something wrong, or if I'd simply hit yet another bug.

Not all of the game's problems are the result of bugs, however, as many of the mechanics for the game are lackluster, make little sense, or unblanced. Others here have gone into far better about where the game is lacking, so I won't bother repeating things.

Overall this feels more like an early access title than it does a finished product, and I can't help being a little upset at that. While I have to commend this first time dev for providing support to players, and working tirelessly to fix the bugs that are present, I simply can't recommend anyone purchase this.

Early Access Review
The promises of this game were lofty, and almost too good to be true. Turns out they were too good to be true, oddly enough in true Peter Molyneux fashion.

We were promised a proper PC god game, and instead what we got was a Freemium mobile game which charged people to test it on PC. Though there are no microtransactions in the "PC version" of the game, the game is a copy/paste job of the Freemium mobile version. This game is designed to prevent you from progressing so as to force mobile players to pay money to progress, and that design philosophy simply doesn't work on PC where people have bought the game outright.

Don't buy into their promises of now being able to fix the PC version with the mobile version out, because they've already said that fundamental changes to the game's systems are no longer possible with the mobile version out; since both games are meant to have interconnected play with each other. This game will not be getting any better than it currently is.

I bought into the hype hook, line, and sinker when this first hit early access, and it taught me the valuable lesson to never buy an early access game again. I wasted my money on this; don't waste yours as well.

If you're planning on buying this because you think it's a point and click adventure then you're out of luck. This is actually a roguelike in the same vein as FTL, and equally as frustrating, trying to pass itself off as as a point and click adventure game.

I very much regret my purchase, and wish I could get my money back.

While the concept of this game is interesting, its execution falls apart after the first few technology advancements and props the rest of the game up on tired references to Final Fantasy (mostly FF7), and The Legend of Zelda.

There is little or no challenge to the gameplay, and I found myself towards the end slogging through the motions hoping it was going to get better. It's mechanic of advancing through the various tech ages seems to be unfocused, as later in the game it suddenly becomes some sort of time travel mechanic; prior to that they were only treated as adding technology upgrades to the game.

I wouldn't recommend this game to others, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from picking it up either.

If you're a South Park fan you'll be amazed at how Matt, Trey, and Obsidian have managed to successfully compress the entirety of the South Park universe into a single game. If you're not a fan of South Park I would still have to recommend this game based on it being amazing all on its own. The town can sometimes feel just as big as any large scale rpg, and the battle system is beautifully executed.

For anyone who loves playing games, and is looking for something different, this game is a must buy.

I cannot reccommend this game because I have never been able to get it to actually start. It crashes immediately and is thus unplayable. The developer offered no support in fixing it, and I was unable to get a refund for this broken product. Do not waste your money.

I cannot reccommend this game because Ubisoft went back on their decision to remove the always online requirement from it. The removal of said requirement was what prompted me to purchase the game. It was a good and challenging game, but when I went back to play it some months later I found that a patch had been released and logging into their platform Uplay is now required in order to play it.

As it stands, I no longer have the ability to play this game because of the Uplay barrier they have put in place post-purchase. Do not buy this game. Do not waste your money.
