I love the art and design. The ability to make underwater bases is great. I like the story and mysteries behind it.

What I didnt love was the land play and the map itself. It felt much smaller than the original. In the first you work to improve your depth and go deep into the water. In this one, there isn't much deep diving. Nothing was so far away that building a base was really necessary as an outpost. I loved that about the first one. The biomes felt smaller.

Land traversal was confusing due to all the snow and such. But also empty. While the snowfox was helpful, I really just tried to complete land aspects as quickly as possible to be done with it.

TLDR:

Pros:
- Art/Graphics
- Very few bugs
- Story
- Gameplay same as the first and familiar
- Creatures were inventive and cool

Cons:
- The map felt smaller and much less interesting. Reduce the land and use that space for water biomes and it would have felt bigger.
- Land play for a water game just not there.
- Little reason for outposts

Meh:
- Sea truck is OK but I miss my submarine. I really just used the cab and only found a couple modules but with the small map I'd just drive around in the cab for quick in and out.
- Felt there could have been more to the story. If you know what you're doing, you can beat it in less than five hours minus the resource gathering and travel time. What is there is good but missed opportunities.

Good game. A decent follow-up. But felt this one was built on a reduced budget or a reduced scope than the first. Well baked, doesn't feel rushed. Just...less.

Update 2: Sony realized they are stupid and backed off. Back to fantastic game!
Update: Sony Linking just killed this fantastic game. Dont bother buying until that requirement goes away.

The game is immersive. I don't normally play multiplayer games but this one is a blast. Killing the bugs or robots. It doesn't get much better.

What makes it great?
- Most of the weapons and offensive firepower feels powerful, you feel it
- graphics are great
- gameplay loop is addictive and can be casual or intense
- Lots of customization on the character and weapon combinations
- Varied objectives
- global campaign that is live that feels like you are part of the war effort and what you do matters
- Managed democracy and liberTEA
- devs leaning into the meta game in RL

cons
- gameguard sucks and sometimes you have to try and load the game 5-6 times to get into it
- Some minor issues with connecting to existing games

Loving the game and excited to see how it grows.

Just pounded out 20 hours to complete the game. It was a good house builder style of game. There was a little jank but overall the designs were well thought out, there was very little tediousness once you got your skills up. Nothing felt like I was doing something over and over again between house builds.

The content was deep enough to make it feel the value of the money spent. If there are DLCs with more housing options, I'd probably pick it up.

Good fun. A lot to upgrade. Like a lot of simulator games, its buggy and not optimized but still completely playable and fun to upgrade.

This game is great. I bought it awhile ago and just didnt have time to play. Finally I did, the level design and aesthetics are incredible. The attention to animation as well. The story and journey are fun. Moreso, the scale and perspective showed a lot. On top of that, the puzzles and such weren't repetitive to annoyance. Devs kept it original each time on how kitty moved through the environment. A gem for a generation.

I've played Hitman since the original hitman back in the day. Except for one game, they've all gotten better and better. This is no exception. Level design is great, if they rolled out more levels for Freelancer I'd pay that DLC in a heartbeat. They could go very far with this if they wanted and we'd probably buy it.

This was a big disappointment. I figured meh, wont be AC Odyssey or Origins but should still be decent enough. I was wrong.

Issues:
1. Movement is not good. changing directions has always been iffy with AC but the characters clunky movement was annoying and often got caught on stuff or half walked into walls
2. Combat is so much worse than before
3. Lots of crashing randomly, like the game is trying to load an asset or something else and then just gives up the ghost

The story is fine, the weapons, graphics, longboat thing are all great. The mechanics ruined it for me. Glad I got it on sale but still regret the few hours I played it. Just so disappointed.

Far Cry 4 was my favorite. I played the crap out of it. FC5 was pretty good thanks to the environment and world. I liked the idea behind it. FC6 was just a sad disappointment. Stereotypical, cliche, half-baked writing.

They built on the engine they had and all those aspects worked great. So I played anyway because I bought it and a lot of the action and such was fun. I spent most of the time mildly entertained and going back and forth on whether to move onto another game or finish this one.

Then it happened... I'm so tired of having wokeness shoved down my throat. I'm a live and let live kind of person but there is a BIG difference between seamlessly integrating lifestyle into a story and shoving it hard in your face so that you can raise your hand and announce you're woke.

Since I'm already on the line of whether this game is worth my time continuing, I realize that I'm done.

TLDR:
Pros:
- Tried and true FC engine is solid
- Headshot feel and sound effect is the best part of the game

Cons:
- Bland story
- Bland environment where things feel added to fill out the world, not like things actually belong
- Weapons feel OK, but there is something off about them feeling good.
- Characters are bland
- You get the Netflix woke treatment

Not a bad game overall, not worth full price either. This is like a poor man's FC4. Not quite the money grab but not far off.

Fun and a good casual tavern game. Replay ability is limited but well worth the money.

One of the better AC games. They've become hit or miss. Black Flag being my favorite but this comes in at number 2 with Origins following. The rest besides the original are buggy take it or leave it type games. The scope of this game put me off since I am so time limited. But, I've decided to take a step back and just enjoy what the devs put into the game and take it slowly. I'm enjoying it much more now.
