This game is a joke. In a hub the fps constantly struggles between 100-40 fps even when NOT MOVING.
And while the battles are 'kinda' fun, you first gotta enter them, and that just near impossible since servers contantly disconnect you before matches.

And who though of a genious idea of 90 seconds sortie time during a QUICK MATCH? Like, if there is literally one player afk, you gotta wait over a minute for the match to start wtf

Very well made world that apart from the school is sadly empty and lifeless. Low amount of spells, no quidditch and no interaction with NPCs. Very linear story that is mid at best. Overall I'd recommend it only on a discount.

Until they fix performance and server issues I can't recommend the expansion at all. You can't even play the base game because the server side of the game which is required to play constantly dies.

Great story but lacks replayability.

There are next to no features outside following Tommy's story and freeride mode that is offered in the game has next to no usability.

Though if you like a well told story with many historical eastereggs, thats the game for you.

Holy balls, where to start...

Compared to previous versions (Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami), this game is just on another level regarding technicals. They used completly new game engine, which was if I remember right, first used in Judgement (another game from the same studio). Visuals are stunning and combat butter smooth. Many places are now open to enter and use, like office open spaces in buildings, or restaurants that you can enter via stairs or elevators. There is new lightning system and many more details on the streets. The map is maybe 3/4 of what it has been before, but the pace of the game is slowed down because default running animation was replaced with walking, with sprint being your 'go to' running animation. For the first time Kiryu isn't a complete garbage at the start of the game and has most of the standard comboes available to use, with more to unlock as the game progresses, which really improves the beginning of the game.
There are no longer different types of combat modes, with only one left, you could call it the Legendary Mode, where most of the moves being merged into one form.
Story is still as compelling as in Yakuza 0. Thank god we don't have to experience god awful storytelling from Kiwami. I haven't finished it yet, but after 15 hours I can already tell that it's safe to say that it's gonna be fine.
Minigames haven't changed much, although we can experience one new minigame called "Clan Management". Won't spoil much, but its pretty fun. Oh and cabaret management is back!

All in all I like the game quite a lot. Some boss battles are almost unbeatable without cheesing them to hell, but I guess Yakuza is supposed to be like that sometimes :D
