PoE was a fun game that gets gradually ruined by the developers "vision", as they try to turn the game into something it isn't. In the past few years, the number of arbitrary bad decisions increased to the point where they even started to omit unpopular changes from patch notes. The latest incident was a massive nerf to loot that was never documented or announced.

In addition to that, there doesn't seem to be any real testing or analysis of changes either; numbers seem to be picked arbitrarily. One example of this was the initial cost of Harvest crafts (50'000 for some), which was then suddenly changed to 5'000 - literally 1/10th of before. It just shows that the initial number was picked without any real forethought, and this seems to be the norm.

Instead of working with the community and listening to feedback, the developer keeps doubling down on bad decisions, never really having the courage to just re-evaluate and stepping back or admit fault. This has turned the game into a mess.

Since the developer puts their own "vision" far above any long-time player, and this seems to be a trend that will keep going, I cannot recommend this game to anyone. Having fun, like we used to have, doesn't seem to be part of that "vision".

The game is a lot of fun for people that enjoy short, casual bursts of entertainment. I've had fun trying out different combinations and interactions of weapons and skills - most of them ending up being quite good. Once I realized I could play a shotgunning battering ram... oh boy.

The only -slightly- annoying part during gameplay were the EXP pickups disappearing too quickly when playing some kind of long-range low-mobility build (like a stealth sniper). That was just a very, very minor thing though - and since I don't have everything unlocked yet, the game may unlocks mods to fix that later anyways.

Definitely looking forward to see how this thing develops!
