It's a meh.

The Case of the Golden Idol is perhaps my favorite puzzle/deduction game of all time, so it pains me to say that this DLC is just not up to the same standards as the previous installments.

Case 1 perhaps ends a bit too quickly but otherwise it's the standard deduction game that we've grown accustomed to. I found the ordering of the tiles to be pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to be honest, but it's optional so it was whatever.

Case 2 features a bit of a logic jump on one character's motive, but my main problem was the wording, you might have figured out a plot point but you have multiple words that convey the same exact meaning, and only one of them is correct. This happens multiple times.

Case 3 has the worst case of "here's the solution book, now copy and paste it into the answer sheet" of the whole game and DLCs. Then the same sentence "___ could only be used with ___ of ___" appears TWICE in the same answer sheet. Half the sheet is therefore a lazy, copy-paste job. What was the point?

There's *another* logic jump in that you have to assume that the golden idol was used to destroy the same stone bridge twice which makes absolutely no sense since it would just be easier to just use it on your target to kill them.

Unlike the game, and the previous DLC, there's no twist that has you looking at the previous chapters for the answer. In fact the twist is so simple I thought I was missing something.

Overall, I'm disappointed and hope the cut corners mean more time towards making the sequel better.
