This game is essentially like playing with Legos. You can use creative elements to just make whatever you want really, while the game offers some basic missions to test your creations against. Its kind of buggy at times as most physics games are, and its a little unfinished, but overall its been a great experience i'll continue to enjoy.

Early Access Review
This game has a great feel to it like really good games from several years ago. Graphics are a little weak but they may be the art style/make it more low-end friendly. Its been a lot of fun for myself and my best friend (who usually loses interest in games easily). Its a lot like other survival games, but i appreciate you always have a goal to work toward, not just walking around aimlessly.

I personally loved the original release and hoped that this game would be like its remastered version. So far I haven’t been disappointed.

It’s a little hard to forget all the stuff that went on with the games previous publisher, but I don’t think that this game or it’s current support team should be punished. I would say though that the game is priced a little high in my opinion for people who aren’t receiving the -50% loyalty discount. Unless more content comes for free at this price, I would probably wait for a sale on this one.

This game has provided me and my friends hours of fun. Heists are varied, difficulty levels provide a challenge as you improve, weapons and characters provide individuality to the way you play. Yes, there is a lot of dlc, and yes there are some micro transactions now. The claim that it's pay to win is ridiculous because almost everyone has grenades, assault rifles and shotguns that are all dlc weapons that are way more powerful than any stat boost skin. People rant to feel like they are doing something important. If you enjoy fps games, stealth games, or crime/action movies than payday 2 is a great game for you to play.

Okay, i just want to say that I am loving this game because it brings back some awesome memories of an old rpg that I used to own. If u are familiar with some of the basic of Everquest, or more specifically a ps2 spin-off game called Champions of Norrath, then you will notice alot of similar features.

For one, this game has an awesome artistic style, its a beautiful world, and the music is fantastic creating an excellent atmosphere. The voice acting for Van Helsing and Lady Katrina are spot on, and the script is a little silly, but not corny or overly cliche. They voice actors for some of the npc's are a little goofy and i expect they are voice actors stretching their skills to sqeeze out a couple of lines for each of these npc's but its really not a big deal.

The gameplay is pretty fun, but can be a little repetitive, but thats sort of par for the course with an arpg isn't it. You basically have a few different ways of building up your character unless u buy the dlc's to add other classes. You can build your character more toward melee, or more toward ranged combat, and can add various arcane tricks, auras, spells etc to augment your abilities.

There are alot of little perks that the developers put in that really make me love this game. For one, i love the fact that they put in npc's that allow you to respec not only your character, but your companion's ability/skill points. Not that u want to go around respec'ing all the time, but the fact that its there at all is very considerate in my book. Another thing, is the ease of travel in the game. There is almost always an ability to teleport back to your local basecamp for free, no gate scrolls or whatever just to go back home. There are portals that link the play areas together, as well as the normal zone doors that connect them. Movement speed is pretty good, and so even if u do elect to run everywhere it doesn't take very long. There is no weight issue in this game, but each item in your inventory has an actual shape/size to them that fits over a grid. Bigger items like a cloak or rifle take up more space than say a belt or ring on the grid. At first your inventory is small, but u can transfer extra items to your companion's inventory to save room, and you can learn a perk that increases your inventory size by an extra page.

Enemy AI is not super intelligent, and i think in over six hours of play i've only died once, but i'm doing this first run on normal difficulty so not sure how much more difficult the higher levels will be. There is an online gameplay mode, but I have not tried it out yet, and can't speak much to how vibrant the community may or may not be. Also, from what i understand, there is supposed to be a sequel to this game that will allow you to bring in your high level character from this save into the new game. So you can tell that the developer is intending on making this a long-running title if they can.

So basically, after about six hours or so, i'm totally in love with this game and highly recommend it and wanted to post this first impressions review now, so that more people will want to pick up this title if any of what i've covered interests them. In summation; great artisitic style and atmostphere, typical arpg gameplay but enjoyable and dlc's look to add alot to replayability, developer took arpg issues and put in handy features to make this arpg very enjoyable, and future titles are in the works/planning.
