I have thousands of hours of gameplay experience across various survival games and this one, I can wholeheartedly say, is one of the most uninspiring representations of the genre I love.

-The colors and item icons are very bland and vague, making quite difficult to distinguish between items within the many poorly designed UI's for inventory and crafting.
-Combat in this game is often a clunky and unfulfilling dance of evasion and stamina draining attacks that appear to hit their mark, but somehow don't.
-The character models are awkward and unimaginative, giving one the impression that this form of humanity somehow skipped an evolutionary branch or two on it's way to developing an intergalactic civilization that still uses wooden bows and flint arrows for some reason.

In my not so humble opinion, there are much better options out there if you love the survival genre as much as I do.

Loaded with detail, gorgeous environments, satisfying mechanics... Yeah, it's pretty damn good!

Still a lot of incomplete or missing features, many of which the modding community has graciously taken care of, at least temporarily. Really looking forward to the very ambitious and literally, game changing creations that will be unleashed once Early Access is over.

Overall, a pretty good game but the reason I must down vote it is because I'm freaking sick and tired of the RNG rigged tournaments where the game CLEARLY predetermines the winner (not you) in the most inhospitable conditions in which any other player would otherwise struggle like crazy. It really sucks when one spends a lot of time learning the mechanics of a game, only to have the perverse algorithms of a few lazy code monkeys deliver a vicious kick to the balls from a running start.

This one is about as sad as anything I've ever seen. Getting stuck on random terrain formations during battles (bushes, trees, rocks and who the hell knows what else) and unable to move while getting pummeled with bullets. I swear, "Video Game Developer" is the only occupation that I know of where you can do such a embarrassingly craptastic job and somehow still be employed. Well, that and "Politician". Spare yourselves the pain and stay away from this one.
