Outstanding port; very well done and probably the best way to enjoy these absolutely fantastic games. These games are an important part of computer game history and hold up extremely well today. Map design in particular is outstanding.

My only gripes are that the camera for the remastered mode is totally inferior to the classic mode camera, and you have to play in 30fps (it feels even less) with the classic mode enabled. You're forced to choose between a good framerate or a good camera.

Options for classic camera in remastered mode, and high framerates in classic mode would make this truly perfect.

Def. worth the money at the asking price.

Superior to the base game in every way

This is some of the best build engine gaming you can experience; right up there with Blood's best moment. The devs have improved on the flaws of the base game and made an absolute gem. Masterful map design. I had an absolute blast from start to finish and I strongly recommend Aftershock. A must buy for any retro FPS fan.

Really great metroidvania. Movement is really fun and slick. One thing it desperately needs is a very basic map. It doesn't need to be accurate or detailed; even an abstract one is fine, but a metroidvania without a map is tough. Maybe a good 2 or 3 hours of my playthrough was just me being lost. Even when I knew exactly where to go, I kept forgetting how to get there and randomly went places until I stumbled across it - which isn't great. Other than that, though, top notch stuff. Combat and movement puzzles are challenging but fair. Strong recommend if you want a tough, simple, short game.

A Masterpiece

System Shock 2 is one of my favourite games of all time, but despite many attempts to play the original I always bounced off as it was just a bit too clunky. This remaster captures everything great about the original and improves on everything else in every way. Absolute joy to play and I had great fun from start to finish. If you have even a passing interest in imsims then this is a must-buy.

Absolute Gem

Deserves a lot of attention. This is a masterpiece.

As of writing the store page has only a video with no sound and only music, which really doesn't communicate what an excellent game this is. Def. one of the best retro shooters of late.

I got overwhelming "lithtech" vibes from this, so if you like Shogo or N64 shooters you'll def. enjoy Zortch. Very strongly recommended!

Early Access Review
Everything Great About Doom, Magnified
Still working through it but man what an excellent game. Weapon and enemy design/feel is fantastic, and it has that buttery smooth Doom movement. The real star of the show here are the incredible and intricately designed maps. They are huge and fun to explore with really good flow. Also, the stylised visuals are just superb. Everything about the game is just so polished. Really, really enjoying this one and will eagerly await the episodic updates as they come. Early contender for GOTY 2023.

Short and sweet; excellent little game that's lots of fun. Took me 3 hours to unlock every ending and do most of the optional tasks. I got it for free but I wish I paid for it - will def. be buying the sequel to support the dev.

Very fun and simple. I took the time to find every item and secret, which was easy but not trivial, and it took just under 2 hours playing at a medium / relaxed pace. Two hours entertainment is a pretty good deal for less that three bucks. Nice relaxing vibe. Looking forward to what the dev makes next.

Excellent exploration game with masterful level design

Just played it for the first time. This game has aged very well and I've become an instant fan. I'll definitely be playing through the other 2 games to complete the original trilogy.

Once you get used to the controls, which might seem a bit unusual by modern standards, it's actually very pleasant to play. Not a huge array of weapons, and the combat isn't stellar, but combat isn't the star of the show here. It's the exploration and adventure side which carries the game, and the level design is consistently excellent and really shines. A perfect example of a game that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Be sure to play with the Tomb Raider Automated Fix fan patch to make it runs perfectly on modern systems and resolutions.

Blood meets Resident Evil 4. Easily my GOTY 2022

Better even than Ashes: Afterglow. Everything is absolutely top shelf: enemies, weapons, maps, aesthetics, atmosphere, etc. I never encountered even a single bug or performance dip.

Part 2 will be an instabuy for me. Outstanding game and an instant classic that fits easily in my list of greatest games of all time.
