Played a heap more hours when it was on xbox game pass. I'm not normally a huge fan of pinball games as I seem to loose interest fairly quickly but this one seems to keep bringing me back for just one more go. Awesome in tate mode.

For a long time Bastion has been the poster boy of what makes indie games so endearing but it has more than earned that position. This game ticks all the boxes, great gameplay, great soundtrack, great artwork and a great story.

There is a caveat to my recommendation; this is more of a chill experience rather than a game. You collect things, you craft things, and you customise your cat. You don’t have lives to loose or enemies to avoid and there is no real story. It is only recommended if this is the sort of thing you are looking for, please avoid if you are looking for a more traditional game. The music is smooth and I do like the art style. I did find that although it recommends a controller, I found it more comfortable using the keyboard and mouse.

Frantic fun, a must to play with friends! My only gripe is it's hard to learn the moves of all the different characters and get a feel for them as it's so frantic you won't be anyone in particular for a long enough time. Each character is so superbly unique, I feel like there needs to be a tutorial/sandbox mode where you can just pick a character and just mess with their moves for a bit to get the hang of them.

I love this game but I also hate it. It oozes relaxing vibes, you sit back ready to enjoy the run, the race starts and someone swerves in your way and you bounce off them with the oddest rubbery-est crash mechanic. You find you're at the back of the pack, you frantically dodge the other racers trying not to be bounced between them like a pinball. Once you get ahead of the pack it's clear sailing, just don't hit the signs in the turns. You'll rage at the other cars, you'll be hitting "restart race" a lot but you'll keep coming back for more.

As they've described in the "about this game" it plays like a 2D Zelda game, the atmosphere and story though feel more akin to Earthbound. I'm loving this story, the atmosphere, the boss fights but I'm really struggling with the controls and the gameplay. I don't know why but for a 2D game I'm struggling to work out exactly where I'm standing in relation to platforms and enemies. It's making basic enemies like bats and sections that require accurate character placement extremely frustrating. I do recall for example Zelda a Link to the Past being a little bit like this and having a similar problem but I just don't recall being as frustrated by it. I'm also finding the controls a little floaty, although it might be because I'm using the analogue stick on an xbox 360 controller so I think I'll try the D pad or just the keyboard instead.

Excellent little time waster and quite fun for a freebie. Good if you need some more achievements/perfect games in your profile lol... A bit buggy but still playable. My biggest problem is that things get too small, or too far away when more levels above and below are added, I believe this was around level 80. It makes it really hard to work out what's going on and where you are meant to be, which is sort of where I gave up and was curious if I could just spam F10 to get to the end, spoiler you can. Also the time freeze and teleport mechanics are mapped to the mouse so I was sitting back enjoying a relaxing game with a controller and then had to switch to keyboard and mouse controls, not the end of the world for me but it was a bit of a oh what, wait, I need the mouse now...

Fun and addictive. I've played quite a bit of the original solitare so I thought I'd give this a shot. I was stuck at home with the flu when I started to play this game and it was perfect for a foggy flu brain but was still challenging enough to keep me interested.
