There are a thousand things you can do wrong in L4D2.
Strange that noobs seem to know them all :)

I'm an oldtime SOF2 player - since 2002 - under the name 'infrequent'.

IMO SOF2 is still the best game ever for 1-to-1 action :) L4D is amazing fun too.

3. We agree on that and that's why I (and many others) get mad when newbies invade Versus and ruins the game that I/we love ;-) In Versus it's amazingly easy to ♥♥♥♥ a whole team up in so many ways .... and newbies seem to know a lot of those ways. This game needs a mechanism for keeping newbies away from better players - even in casual games ... at least in the beginning.

4. I have MANY times explained it the elevator on the way down only to find a noob running to grab it anyway. Newbies are so overwhelmed that they usually do not pay attention to advise. As you will see most better players will simply shoot that gascan repeatedly and every time they see a noob go near it.

Peace and Good Luck!

I am most of the time.
Games don't show one's strong side though.
It can be quite common that I become hot-headed in games that I like/love.
4.
That sounds like a very good strategy, but, since so many people want to kick instead of explain why, I had no idea.

Anyways.
I hope you keep in mind what I have written even though that you may or may not do something/anything of what I have suggested.
Have a good day/night.

1. Common sense is something that is continously improved and differs from different aspects of life and game.
In games I can imagine that it is rare to have enough knowledge to be considered to have "common sense".
2. I agree that it is never someone's duty to teach someone about something.
It is always an optional thing and sometimes tiring thing.
But, how we approach people matters a lot to how they approach us, listen to us and remember what we have said or done.
I find it difficult to imagine that people learn that they have done something wrong when they are kicked (without explanations as to why).
Me and many others simply get frustrated without giving much thought as to why.
However, I do always look for information as to how to become a better player, person, etc.
If we take me for example; I would be quite willing to learn and observe if approached with a friendly attitude and given enough time.
