The equipment, skill, path choice, and deity mechanics add a lot of dimension via synergies and difficulty selection. Very fun. Story is there, relatively simple, visceral. Need more games like this.

This game is challenging and fun as hell.

The number of mechanics in this game is mind melting. It's the father of all colony sims, and has no equal.

Besides the fun visceral game play you're guaranteed with Doom-likes, the simulated weight and momentum of the player really makes this stand out. The player really does feel like a giant space marine in this game. Also, the 40K aesthetic is perfect for this game genre.

Super fast paced Doom-like. The art and animations are great. The weapons are cool. And the dialogue is the right amount of cheesy. This was a good buy.

The morality system where your choices really do matter is a great mechanic. It has replay value baked in due to that. The core gameplay is fun and has a healthy amount of challenge. The 8-bit art style is great, especially with the themes in this game. Infernax is a love letter to NES Castlevania and maybe Faxanadu that's good all the way through.
