Yes, you CAN attach windows to your wrist that fade when you're not looking at them!

This was why I orginally bought OVR, as aside from it being what my friends used, this was the main feature I wanted and couldn't see it anywhere on the XS media tab. On OVR startup was not pleased with it. Unappealing menus, clunky resizing of windows, and too many nested options. I convinced myself I'd put aside some time to learn it properly, but later thought I might as well try XS to compare the two.

I was INSTANTLY convinced! Not only is XS Overlay's UI more modern it is also way more strightforward, with sliders just... doing what they say they do, instead of having to dig through menus to precisely tailor it. I am also pleased that this runs a lot lighter, as VRChat worlds can get pretty intensive and processing power is at a premium.

Just listen to everyone else when they say get this instead of wasting your time and money on other overlays!

I heard about this game about a year ago during one of the showcase conferences. Completely forgot about it until now, so figured I'd try the cool dragon flying game. With Draconia and DGP both in development, it looks like a great year for dragon focused games.

So right off the bat the gameplay is REALLY solid. The movement is the most important aspect and it does an incredible job with it. Te aerial manoeuvres feel amazing to play with, there's nothing like being chased by an enemy, rounding a corner and hard breaking then finishing off their sorry behind with some flame breath. Partner this with some high BPM tunes and it'll really have your heart pumping. The three classes are pretty solid with the only differences being secondary skills (focusing on stealth, healing and pure damage styles respectfully). Hopefully for the next class they add something tank-focused with melee skill, that'd feel super cool.

There only seems to be 3 maps at the moment (desert, alpine and snow) but I understand that it's still pretty new, and this is how most free-to-play games operate. Only complaint is that it's not really an even spread and you go streaks where you get one map a LOT.

The downsides come when you step away from the gameplay.
If you care at all about cosmetics, expect to spend money. You very rarely get anything in level ups that isn't just a tagline, icon or a pre-match banner, and let's face it we only care about how our dragons look because that's all you're seeing in game (your rider can be customised but they're not at all noticeable during matches).
You also get a standard currency, but what do you even spend it on? Almost everything in there is bought using flat out cash (and it ain't cheap) or the premium gem currency- which you get a small amount of every 5 levels, naturally you'd have to spend many many hours to level up enough to actually buy anything with them, and even longer to buy anything significant with the purely earned currency. I'm not even sure how you get dragon body customisation parts other than the cash shop bundles, because they aren't in the level up or weekly mission rewards.

I give this game a thumbs up only because the core gameplay is really, really damn fun (but it's on thin ice). I'll never get tired of swooping around, flying through broken walls and diving down into narrow canyons. If you can find a few friends to team up with on voice chat it'd be pleasantly chaotic.

If Century had an optional buy-to-play version that drastically increased drops of cosmetic items for those of us that want to support development and see where this game goes without the godawful cash shop, i'd welcome it.

TLDR: It's free, might as well try it. If you don't care about skins and just wanna shoot fireballs, you'll love this.
