The game looks very pretty in its pixel art style, is short enough to play over and over and fun enough to do so. Sure the star signs and the cooking is a bit grindy , but the branching path and procedural events makes up for a lot of shot commins

it has potential. its just really really short. even for a prologue.
Graphics look well.

The game feels like one of those knock off scifi movies.
its fun, its campy, the female model pants masculine, and the grenade zombies are mostly insta kills.

but in the end of it all, its still a fun game even though all its flaws

Great game, a very well crafted diablo like, action adventure click fest.

i can spend hours on this game like i did DIablo and Diablo 2 in the past, its that good

At first i had no idea what to really think of the game, 4 hours later i was planning my shop out and trying to make as much profit as possible, while arranging my store in the most fluent way. The game is a whole lot of fun

The game is like they say , buggy , bad and all that stuff, but that is the fun of the game it is one of those "I dont know what to play games"

It is free and it is a nice point and click find stuff and listen to stuff game

The game sure is something diffrent, The graphics seem a blend between 3d and conceptual art , making some textures ( like the principals tie) painted on and some of the set dressings look out of place, but somehow it fits the game .

The time rewinding is nicely implimented but for some puzzles it feels forced, you are forced to use it to solve a puzzle, so you first have to mess it up the first time, making the time rewind work like a hint system , this is not something all adventure fans might like.

The game gave it self some big shoes to fill by saying it would revolutionise the way decicion games are played, and so far i have to say they are doing a nice atempt at that , some of the small things you can do seem to have impact on the story, like signing a petition or watering a plant ( no really watering a plant will have consequences in the later chapters.
no mater how much i loved the walking dead, the choises always felt a bit black and white, and seeing this game also has some of those choises i cant wait to find out what they will do in the long run.
The choises here were hard hitters, not on the heartstrings , no, but more on the perseption of me the gamer. the game seems to ike to ask you , what would you do ?

The music is gorgeus soft tones and slow songs mark the soundtrack of the game and feel totaly in place in this seemingly sleepy town.

The story so far is rather simple and that is one of the down sides , but seeing that it took me a bit over 2 hours to finish the first chapter it is a minor downside as the story is engaging enough to want to play more.
You play Max Caulfield an 18 year old girl who returned to her home town after 5 years to attend the countries best photography classes, you see Max want to be a photographer

The graphics like is aid are not the games high point , dont exept super realistic things, trees also look pixely , but like i said it somehow works for the game, it gives the game a more unique look, it certainly is something i have not seen before.

The largest downside are the characters, they all feel a little cliche and tropey, you have seen them all before , the highly religous girl who is heavy into abstenince, the creepy weird "simple"janitor, the jerkish security guy, the good friend who clearly has a crush on max, the rebelious punk girl , the jerky jocks, the spoiled rich kid with mental isseus and the asian looking girl who has a new gadget. One could play trope character bingo here, even Max fits into the new girl trope ( which is odd seeing that she is back in her home town"

The voice acting at first sounded a little off , Max sounded a little bored and the religous girl sounded like the voice actress really did not wanted to do this role. but after a little more playing the game , the voice seem to fit the characters well and for me added a deeper layer.

Now as some one who dabbles in to writing thrillers i could not help but seeing some clear hints that (offcourse) nothing is as it seems, and not everybody are as they seem, and i seriouly hope dontnod ( the developers) will surprice me with this game and plays with the trope characters in this first episode.
I did how ever found my self looking at things diffrently and approach characters diffrent.

Lastly , there are some fun easter eggs in the game , (one that is kinda heavy on the phalic stroking towards square enix ) but they are none the less funny to find

Dont let the the tropey characters and the sometimes forced time travel hinty system fool you . This is a game that is definatly worth the money and time you put into it. and when chapter five is done we will see how much dontnod changed the way these games are played , told and done.

Facerig works pretty well for the beta , although with me the microphone is not working in the program and i am not sure if this is due to the beta or my microphone.

The avatars all look good and the software is fun to use.

I started it and little over an hour later i closed it to write this review.
