Talking purely about base game I find this to be more fun than Arma 3. The commander conflict mode was such a great addition that has improved team work. Along with that the FIA update has made the game even more enjoyable.
I've enjoyed playing the FIA, ambushing supply trucks, setting up road blocks to stop their advances and hiding myself in urban environments to kill a enemy squad and many other things. But this also goes the other way, I've enjoyed fighting ambushes/road blocks by players on the FIA, hunting down them down in urban or forested settings.
