For the most part, the characters in this game are very realistically fleshed out. A few are too on-the-nose and take you out of the game (and no, I'm not talking about Santa, the robot, or the cat). It's incredibly fun to try to get the achievements by getting the perfect conversation.

As everybody else mentioned, the investigation mechanics could be a bit better. I don't think they're awful, but we should be able to more clearly pry for clues and organize them to our liking.

The atmosphere is perfect. Once you get the hang of things you actually manage to feel and be proactive in cases rather than just guessing around.

Flaws aside, I think overall it's an extremely enjoyable game and I wished there were plenty more cases to solve. The game is so addicting I'm almost done with it and I wished there was more!

Pros:
-You can play any tabletop game. There is an insane amount of games in the workshop.
-Once you get used to the hellish controls (more on that later), you can manage everything like you do irl. It shows the devs kept that as a priority

Cons:
-It does look kinda ugly but what can you really do with 3 models for tabletop games really?
-The controls suck, extremely clunky

The no-fighting, hiding-only game mechanic is perfect for this game and makes it feel way more realistic. WILL make you jump at some point no matter how used to horror games you are. Plot is very solid.

Still holds up to this day. Great missions and a ton of addon campaigns to add to the game.

Great game, still very poorly optimized but that'll get better with time. Surprisingly rage inducing, don't expect a nice relaxing time with your friends.

Great game dynamic, all the Jason abilities actually add to the game and are not just there to make it feel full.
The only con is I cannot choose what server to join. I get thrown in brazilian servers every time unless I manage to coordinate with a friend from the US that actually feels like playing at the same time as me. I'll trade 180+ ping for playing in a server I actually can communicate in.

Very original platformer. Very rage inducing. 10/10 would tell my friends to ♥♥♥♥ off every 5 seconds again (and will. Thanks to Duck Game).

Brings nothing new to the table. Just another platformer, doesn't have any unique qualities that set it apart.

The only enjoyable gamemode for me was the snowball fight w/ friends, and it was mostly with the sole purpose of pissing each other off.

Recommended BUT

-Try to get it on sale. Optimization is better with the patch but there are still plenty of bugs and glitchiness all around.
-Make sure you have plenty of time to play. The checkpoints are SO spread out for 90% of the game, I just had to leave it open overnight at one point. You can't save, only make a copy of your last checkpoint.
-Graphics are... not great. I get it was partially on purpose to recreate the 1999 atmosphere but it is just to the point some areas look plain bad.

-This is minor, but making the dog the exact same colour as the dirt in game when the whole point is f o l l o w i n g the damn dog just makes it an annoying task rather than a challenge.
