if you enjoyed the original or if you enjoyed 999 or its sequels, you will probably like this.

Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 are all wonderful, and the Legendary Edition fixes a lot of issues from the original game. However, Origin no longer works; you're forced to use the new EA App. Achievements no longer unlock in either ME2 or ME3 with the EA App.

The game looks nice and ran well enough for me, so whatever issues there were at launch have probably been resolved by now, or maybe I got lucky. The gameplay was fine, too. But I'm not paying $80 three times for this much padding.

Absolutely fantastic. Just don't forget there's two games in one — after the first one, start a new game but hit the arrows on the side to switch to game 2.

The best parts of this game for me were the parts where you do cat things. I just wish there were more of those, because otherwise this game is fairly generic.

I watched a playthrough of Persona 5 when it initially came out, seeing as it was a PlayStation exclusive when it came out. Watching Persona 5 was an amazing experience, so when Persona 4 Golden came out on Steam, I got it immediately and played the hell out of it. So naturally, when Persona 5 Royal was finally released on PC, I had to get it. It's an utterly amazing experience that I can recommend to anyone who's interested.

My only issues were a high-DPI issue with the Game Pass version (which you can work around with the Steam version) and one particular boss fight being ridiculously unbalanced (which you can look up/prepare for if you know it).

Now to wait 6 more years for Persona 6.

Yes, there's a decent amount of anime nonsense. Yes, some of the puzzles are not exactly intuitive and can be tedious. And some of the achievements didn't unlock for me, so be warned if you're trying for that. But if you can push past all that — and it's not really that much — the story in this game is amazing. It's intricate like the Zero Escape series, but without being too similar.

A short but sweet puzzle game with a surprising amount of character.

I was initially going to leave this a negative review but I got sucked into it pretty hard when I kept playing for just a little bit longer. Let's just say that this game takes a while to get going.

One of my initial complaints was that getting around takes forever. However, you eventually unlock fast travel and the ability to get around faster which helped immensely in how much I was enjoying the game.

Combat is pretty one-dimensional. You can alleviate a little bit with the chip system, although the usefulness of chips varies quite a lot. Some chips don't seem to do anything at all? It's otherwise serviceable, though.

The aesthetics and some of the music is quite nice, however, and there are a few secrets to discover. If you're into metroidvania-style games, give this one a go.

I hate that I enjoy this game.

This game is full of questionable and asinine design decisions, pretty poor balancing and it's riddled with bugs — some of which have been there for years. To name but a few major ones:

• Performance has been greatly improved since I initially started playing, but there's still memory leaks and other performance issues that seep in over time. More and more textures stop loading properly and the framerate in menus drops dramatically after a certain point.
• When playing together in a group, beam weapons are glitched and show up on my screen, even if I'm not even on the same planet. If my partner is fighting Sentinels, their beams can damage me even if I'm in a space station.
• Landing is unreliable, and so are the controls. You hold X to initiate landing, but it doesn't work half the time, sometimes not even telling you why it's not available. It also doesn't work if you happen to be looking at any marker, because tagging it (also hold X) takes priority. And if Sentinels are after you, you can forget about it too, because it won't let you let in combat, but it doesn't actually tell you — just nothing happens when you hold X. Fighting the Sentinel Interceptors doesn't work either, because you don't get enough time to land in between waves, as the landing animation is too slow.
• Since yesterday, multiplayer no longer works for my partner so I can no longer play in co-op, despite being in the same network as me. This also seems to be an issue that's existed for years, with no fixes available.

Yet I still keep coming back to it. There is so much to explore and even though you start to notice the pattern very quickly, updates do help keep it fresh and interesting as they add more varied planets. All of my issues with this game can be fixed so I'm still holding out hope.
