Truly the peak of the series. Deck 9 has excelled in continuing the work of Dontnod in both, Before the Storm and this title.

I'd love to see a D&D or LARP type game with Steph as gamemaster.

Maybe too much character and sarcasm for a 16 yr old girl, but Chloe's comments on everything had me a good laugh again and again. Totally takes the tediousness out of the light gameplay. The talk back system also works really smooth, the answers are super intuitive. The subtitles hang like most of the game, but the English dub is excellent, so it doesn't really matter. However, why isn't that patched? The remaster is totally worth it, though. Have a great weekend with Chloe and Rachel.

The Story and atmosphere are great and the gameplay is okayish, but hell the controls are awful af.

Prime example of a fun game design. The first game already was great, this one ramps it up even further. Somehow it feels a bit like DOA as metroidvania. It has a lot of atmosphere, the visuals are great and the battle sounds plus the superb Japanese voice acting are the icing on the cake. Nice and light story with a lot of humor round it up.


It's simply game design done right, great work!

Awesome cast, play, story and music. Just better use the Chinese dub.

Really cool tactical game, not just for board game fans. I know none of the board games nor do i play board games and this goes very well as a game. Once the relatively short tutorial is done you are ready to go and have fun.

Since you are rolling 1 to 2 dices for most actions, it's luck based, but you can thankfully mostly counter that via leaders, equipment and troop concentrations.

However, the big downside is the lost AI. The decisions it does are in best case ok, but mostly bad to horrible. It also seems like the AI doesn't even know its objectives, in most cases you can't really lose. That may fits the Russians in the Enemy at the Gates battlepack i bought but it takes the challenge and with that a lot of the fun. There are sliders to give you disadvantage, but in the end you want a tactical fight, right? Maybe it's better in other scenarios.

Hopefully that gets patched in the future. But besides that AI problems it's still a really fun system to play.

Wtf steam, the game is super awesome.
It's not like Nioh and there's no Switchglaive, but Team Ninja always delivers the most superb combat systems.

No performance issues in 4k on 4yr old hardware...
