game is actually good when you play with friends

Generally, point-and-click story-based games like this one aren't really my thing. However, I can safely say that after my first playthrough, I am pleasantly surprised. The team at Adhoc Studio really knocked it out of the park with their debut release. This group of ex-Telltale devs put together one of the most engaging, thoughtful, heartwarming (and at times quite sad) stories I've ever played in a video game. I came out of this genuinely caring about every single character and not knowing what curve balls the narrative was going to throw at me next. The writing, while at times can be a bit cheesy and corny, is truly top notch. The humor is actually super tasteful and isn't forced or dry. The voice acting is incredible. Everyone really put their all into their respective characters. And all of this for only $30? Definitely worth the buy and I would pay twice that price to have them create a second game. Loved this from the beginning all the way to the end. Hopefully we see more from Adhoc in the near future.

Game is absolutely incredible, especially after patch 2.0. Base game is amazing by itself and Phantom Liberty just elevates it to new heights. Definitely has come a long way since launch, THANK YOU CDPR! <3

Edit: Wow, talk about a turn around. The game pulled a complete 180 and CDPR keeps updating it! Super pleased with what Cyberpunk has become and how supportive the community has been!

Let me put it this way. If you like Bethesda Games with a simple gameplay loop, then you will enjoy Starfield. This type of game is not for hardcore gamers who want challenging combat or complex story lines. This is the kind of game you boot up if you want to just relax and turn your brain off for a bit. It accomplishes what it needs to accomplish. Is GOTY worthy? No. Is it Bethesda's best? Absolutely not. But it is a game that I have been having fun with and enjoying exploring.

I will say a few things this game does very well is the ship and outpost building. I have many hours just doing that. The writing is what you can expect from a Bethesda game... full of plot holes and inconsistency. However, I will say that there was one quest line that blew me away and that was the UC Vanguard/Terror morph story. Definitely go through that one as soon as you can. And no, I haven't purchased the Shattered Space DLC yet just because I haven't been super excited about what I've seen from it. But I can say that base game Starfield is just a fun experience. That's about it.

I will say that I do hope they start from the ground up with Elder Scrolls 6. Because of ES6 is anything like Starfield, I hate to say it but I will be very disappointed. I just hope Bethesda returns to their classic RPG roots with ES6 rather than continuing down this path of "appealing to a wider audience". Anyway, if I were to rate Starfield I'd give it a solid 7/10. Not amazing, but not terrible.

Game is still amazing don't listen to all the casuals telling you the DLC is "too hard". It's not. Stop playing the game if you aren't good at it. 10/10 fromsoft delivers again
