It's an Enigma why I would give a game I love a negative review.

Some of the best damned mega man games that Capcom has put out.

They had to ♥♥♥♥ up what could have been a positive review with their Enigma DRM garbage. The thing that prevents modding and gives it a 50/50 on whether or not it'll run on a steam deck.

Retroactively added DRM to an 11 year old game to block mods.

Fallout Guys is finally back on Steam and has changed a lot since I last played it. There's now chibi anime characters, a bunch of weapons, and a playable fish. There's also all these other modes like versus, training, and online. None of them let you train for Grand Bruise, though. I need to know how many frames it takes to charge up a punch, the hitbox on arrows, and the match-up against a silver fish.

Got me through the entire game three times. Would pre-order again for consumables.

I am writing this right after the nth crash today alone. I would write about the game, but any enjoyment I start to get is interrupted with a crash. I attempted to look past the performance issues and push forward. This game is, by far, the most unstable game I have played this year. I've played a lot of K-T games this year, so that's definitely saying something.

I am fortunate enough to have a 13900k, 4090, and 64GB of DDR5 RAM, The game still can't maintain a solid 60fps, stutters constantly, and still has stutters when changing areas. One of these areas being during a platforming section where you have to jump onto a zipline. What god awful timing for a consistent stutter. Does it ever get any better? No, it doesn't get any better. You start the game on a linear path and might wonder what everybody is complaining about. Once you get to the open world segment, all these issues explode in your face.

I'm not sure if the performance issues or crashing are worse now. Bad performance is one thing, but I cannot progress in the game because the game decided to only save a meditation points. That would be absolutely fine if the game did not crash constantly. Most of my playtime is retreading ground I have already covered. The shortcuts do not help because you have to reach them to be helpful.

This game is currently in a god awful state. If you think PC gamers are being performance snobs, then feel free to buy it. It takes over two hours to get to the point where the game starts to crash consistently. This game should not have been released in this state and I cannot recommend a game you can't play.

EDIT: The game crashes on the ending every time still even after Patch 4. Worst port of 2023 by far.

EDIT #2: Crashing has been fixed as of Patch 7 (9/5/2023) and framerate is much better. Be warned, my HW is a 13900k, 4090, and 64GB DDR5. So this review is only for people with too much money to burn.

First game to crash on me in a long time, too.

EDIT: I have come here to edit my review and it is still staying negative due to performance issues that affect the combat. It also froze on me during the ending, so that was awesome. Keep putting out quality ports, K-T.

Probably one of the best games on the go this year. A quarter muncher for five bucks that you can beat in the time it would take to get into Strive's lobbies at launch.
