Not as revolutionary and focused as the 7th, but a great RE game nonetheless. The story and characters do not make much sense, some questionable decisions are made, but the imagery the game uses still stirs up your heart at the end.

Originally I thought The Twins is a really fun Killer. Victor's funny and fast as ♥♥♥ boi, Charlotte with clunking pans on her back. But oh boy oh boy was I wrong. This Killer makes me LEGIT wanna kill myself when I play them. Whenever I press play with the Twins, I experience existential dread in wait of the upcoming match. Since any Killer can be good vs trash tier survivors, I'm only talking about going against good players. The Twins was probably one of the first Killers along with The Trickster which was designed solely with "is it fun for survivors?" mantra in devs mind. So much downtime switching between Charlotte and Victor, constantly walking back and forth in the trial and spamming CTRL so the game finally allows you to switch characters. 99% of the perks don't work on Twins, because Victor can't have their effects. You make ONE mistake with Victor, survivors kick him and reset the chase. If people are running together, you can only use Victor once per chase. Most of the add-ons are unusuble, uninspired garbage (stealth add-ons for Victor??). When a brown add-on (toy sword) is better than most green and purples it says a lot about this Killer's design and balance.

Some of my ABSOLUTE WORST matches in the game occured when I played this very Killer.

Early Access Review
This little gem grows on you the longer you play it. The world is carefully crafted— and with love, too. You can see a lot of thought was put into building the environment; I've explored three locations so far and each one felt distinct. But the best thing about this game, in my opinion, is its camera work during the cutscenes and custom animations. Love how the camera slides and changes angles all the time. I play Elder Scrolls Online and even that doesn't have presentation on such scale lol.

I won't judge the story before the full game's out. But the first few quests were on the better side. I'm not really your typical fan of RPGs and/or medieval settings, but even then the game's managed to intrigue me. What else can I say? Can't wait to see what the final game will look and play like. The potential is already tremendous, and let's hope the devs will deliever.

What if there's happiness other than a so-called "happy ending"? I highly recommend this game to all fans of studio Overdrive. It's not really a depression game, it's bittersweet... yet hopeful. Tomoe is one of the best MCs I've seen in visual novels and Naruko's route is top-notch.

Play this game only after you've finished The Cradle of Ruin and Tsukimi Planet by Charon. The story comes full circle, featuring several characters from their previous works with a lot of references which may fly over your head if you're not familiar with the developer. I won't get into details of how good this game is, because I'm a fan of this circle and I'm biased AF, but it's safe to say it's on par with Vanilla Garden of Judgement in terms of quality of the story, art and music. Compared to earlier Charon games it might seem a bit more lighthearted and hopeful, but as I see it, it's the sign of author growing up. This game doesn't have much gore or "yandere for the sake of yandere", so some of the fans might not like it. I, on the other hand, highly recommend it, but only after reading previous works, so you can get this feeling of Charon universe coming full circle. The translation is very well done (compared to Engrish in The Cradle of Ruin), considering it's made by a single person, who's a fellow fan.
