A relaxing game for the evening that tends to make me fall asleep behind the wheel. Nothing like that authentic feeling of a fatigued trucker desperate to make their delivery on time at all costs and flipping the rig 10km from the delivery point.

They'll sell it to you with 75% off, like a dealer trying to get you hooked on their product. You'll find yourself alone in the dark, in the small hours of the morning fixing up a neighbourhood or resurrecting the suburb that got flattened by a tsunami of poop. But as the sun is emerging through the cracks in between the curtains, it's all getting a bit too much of the same. You want an extra hit. No, no... you NEED an extra hit in the from of paid DLCs. Just one or two at first, I swear. Old mate imperialjedi gave you some recommendations on his twitch stream in his smooth, sultry Canadian accent.

Suddenly you've got green high schools being constructed, sprawling parks that bring a smile to your every cim and a public transport system that would rival the best that some fancy European system has. Or maybe it's just a single bus line for the Americans, since you're proud to sit in your car in a nose to tail traffic jam. Whatever man, more to the point... your city looks amazing and everything is going from strength to strength. Except it's a week later than you think it is, dishes piled up around you and apparently your wife left with the kids several days ago. Seems like a bunch of missed calls from the boss too, wonder what that's all about?

10/10 Would recommend.

While the cover alludes to an experience akin to Modern Warfare or Battlefield, this game is anything but. You assume the role of Capt. Walker, leading a small group of Delta Force into what is to be a simple mission. But what you end up with is a downward spiral into insanity in a Dubai-meet-Apocalypse-Now setting. While the gameplay is nothing ground-breaking, the narrative is particularly strong. It sets out to have you question your own actions as the situation becomes increasingly dark. "Do you feel like a hero yet?” a loading screen taunts me, mocking the FPS genre in the process. No, I don't - I've seen the horror of war, and blood is on my hands. "You are still a good person", another tries to reassure me. This is not a fun game as such – but I’d highly recommend it. By the time the game draws to a close you’ll understand why this is called "The Line". You’ll have crossed it too.

An engrossing story and engaging gameplay makes this a worthy successor to the original Deus Ex.
