I would have liked the games if there were not so many bugs. I had to pass on Isabella because the quest bugged and it was impossible to get some corpse. I had a few other bugs that prevented me from finishing second quests.
Now I'm stuck in the middle of mark of the assassins. The stealth part was a pain with guards LOS completely bugged. I had a hard time getting through it, and now I have a character stuck behind gates and can't do anything... My last load save is more than 1 hour away and it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ painful to have to do that all over again + the stealth part...
I hated the first Dragon age, this one was okay, but the bugs killed it.

The best game of the series, the scenario was pretty great, trials had always some great moments, a real rollercoster.
except the last trial which was so bad, so boring, I even skipped some of it... i wanted it to be over. Why did you have to go meta when the game was already great??

Also, that's the only game where I didn't feel like pushing the other game modes, so boring compared to the other games that were pretty good. Guess I really hate casino stuff and money games.

Game is not working, I couldn't even win the first fight because my character will just run in a straight line against the wall. The only mob from the first fight just bashed me for 5+ minutes with his ridiculous DPS, and because I wasn't supposed to lose the fight, after I died, the story resumed assuming I won XD

But next fight was the same, character just running forward and not attacking.

Couldn't even refund the game...

The game is pretty well written but that's about it. It makes some effort to get you hyped up but it falls off pretty fast. Interactions are very poor, 3 hours for a steep price.

Got bored pretty fast. I don't dislike the story and characters, but everything in the gameplay is really boring to me, from the dungeons, fights and things to do in between.

I never understood why you have to make games so hard you have to use only 1 strategy to beat the first boss and know the game like the back of your hand, or you can just reset your game and follow some internet guide. This is a tactical RPG, not a world championship...

I really hate the fact that you have to micro manage every fight because your allies are so stupid... You need to pause every 1,5 seconds. And the tactical view is so bad. There are countless uninteresting fights all game long, it's so boring...

Also, the game is crashing a lot... you need to save every 5 minutes.

The game is not bad, it has good story, character development and very good music. The characters skills are pretty cool to use, even though the "puzzles" are very easy to solve, it feels great to order your friends to use their skills and solve situations.

You can customize most of the settings and difficulty settings which is great, you can get rid of vibrations and some QTE that asks you to mash a button (seriously, who is still using that in 2023?).

The interaction with the crew during the interlude are great, the game is very funny and use the licence spirit.

Now the bad.

I can't let this butchery of PC port pass. If it were only for the ponctual stuttering and weird graphic glitches, I would not be bothered, but the problem is that the game was barely ported gameplay wise.
The worst thing are inputs are ignored 1 time out of 3. It's incredibly boring as you will screw up jumps and dashes half the time. Once I was used to it, I just spammed inputs like a madman, but it's so annoying to play like that... And stop with the "hold the button" stuff on PC PLEASE, we have 100+ shortcuts and a lot of innovative interface designs that are great for a PC, just use it!

The camera is pretty bad, you always feel like something is holding you back, holding your mouse and trying to point something else.

The HUD is horrible for a PC game. Nothing is where you expect it to be. Using skills from your teammates is a nightmare sometimes as it's difficult to get the right target (because of the auto aim that I have tried to disable) with the right combination of keys. I will add that if you don't have a qwerty keyboard, some keys can't be mapped and some prompts will give you the original keys, not the one you customized...

It's so boring to have to scan all the time if you don't want to miss any secret passage or ressources to find, you just can't admire the landscapes and you're stuck with this scanner view with no colors... or you have to switch every 10 seconds...

The cutscenes/QTE are so useless. They are just die & retry scenes with no gameplay. Why do that? Just play a cinematic and be done with it. You will die sometimes because you missed a jump during the scene and get a loading time longer than the scene. This is not fun at all, even if you succeed on the first try, that's poor gameplay. Just play the scene, let the player enjoy the action and graphics, and move on.

I have probably forgotten about a lot of bad stuff because I write this review a few weeks after finishing the game, but all in all, I was happy when the game was over. I spent a good time, but it was also very annoying to deal with these issues.

I can't even understand how this game has so great reviews...
I loved the first game, maybe because I played it on console back then... even if the game was already plagued by bugs, maybe I have become a bit more picky when it comes to quality...

So this game has one of the worst port I have ever seen for a AAA game. It's so lazy that they do not even try to stop using these "Hold the key" mapping that we do not need at all on PC, and these items wheels that are annoying to use. We have 100+ shortcuts, use them! Everything is so difficult to find, drown into dozen of menus.
Not even talking about movement and horses which is horribly annoying, and the auto aim that always screw your aiming. I have a mouse, LET ME SHOOT WHERE I WANT. I also had this annoying bug where your character would just put his gun in a satchel when galoping on his horse, every 10 seconds...
Nothing is smooth, everything relies on a strange animation when you want to loot someone or something, your character will try to align with it. Sometimes he will not find any pathing. Sometimes you're just in front of it, and he will get out of his way to try and loot and find no pathing. This doesn't feel smooth, this feels to scripted and you have to adjust very often your position so the game let you do something that it tells you to do with "just a button press".

The scenario is OK but the writing does not make sense. You're playing an outlaw that can kill on sight, but keeps doing good deeds on the side, so it feel like you're just playing a video game character with choices, not a real person, which is a failure. many times someone will tell you something completely out of context because a lot of things happened and it's only scripts that are triggered. A pretty bad way to code stuff with our current technology.

The game, wow... so many bugs. Nothing is working properly. You get tagged wanted when bodies are found even if you were the one being attacked and even if nobody was there minutes ago. Nobody saw you, but hey, we know you dit it. You feel like everything is magical, everyone knows what you do and villages and sheriffs are informed instantly of everything. Information goes quicker than in our world with Internet and mobiles... You will also get detected quite a lot for no reason, and sometimes sneak right under the nose of someone that can clearly see you... and the ragdolls/characters stuck/people going through horses/walls...

And let me talk about AI. Oh my god, chatGPT would do a better job because it's so lazy. We're still stuck with the same scripts. Ennemies will just jump in front of you. They do not even fear death, they will try to swarm you like zombies, stay in "cover" with half their body visible, most of the time they will just wait for you to kill them and sometimes you will get wrecked in less than 1 second.
When they take a bullet, it seems like they just took a punch in the guts, and resume without even trying to get in cover and catch their breath. Some ennemies will also hit you even when you are very far away or moving very fast. The aiming of ennemies is so random. They only take into account if you are in cover or not. That's the only thing that defines their accuracy. So sometimes, you'll be behind trees, bushes, you can't see anything, but they can see you very clearly and will hit 100%.

And I'm not even talking about animals, which is even worse.

The only good thing is that it's beautiful and the villages are alive. Such a waste after all the time the game has been released, I thought it would be bug free.

I spent 10 hours being bored playing this game, I tried hard to enjoy it, because you know, it's a quite expensive game, everybody likes it and what the hell, I might be missing something, I must be wrong, maybe the game is better after? ... well, my last 3 or 4 sessions where barely 30 minutes long because I was either shocked by the bad quality of something or plainly bored, so it's time to move on.
