I really liked the concept behind this game. I'd love to see more games like this.

I love this game

This was one of the most fun co-op games I have ever played.

It's *extremely* buggy

This is basically a pixel art version of Harvest Moon. I loved that game as a kid, so I was hooked on this pretty quickly. It seems like there's a lot of things to figure out and I want to start making my farm really cool :D

Definitely feels like I'll have to mod this game though, there are things I've really found myself wanting which seem lacking. Fortunately there are tons of mods for this game.

Should you buy it? Yes

11/10 would select KNUCKLES as my racing character again.

In all seriousness... this is a pretty decent racing game that works well for parties and has way better kart control than Mario Kart. I prefer this game by far.

Criticisms:

- Some of the selectable characters are stupid and don't make any sense, e.g. there is Danica Patrick, Team Fortress, and Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph (but no Vanellope). Honestly feels like some of the characters were just randomly pulled out of a hat filled with non-Sega IP. A recurring joke is "I've selected [X]" followed by "Who is that?"

- Some other characters are extremely OP (e.g. AGES) which kinda ruins the balance a little.

- There is no readying function in the multiplayer lobby. While you can choose whatever character you like, and there are mods for different characters, the game allows the lobby host to start the next race at any time before you had a chance to select either of them. The default selection is random character, and after each race everyone resets back to random and has to select their character and mod again. After selecting your character (but before selecting your mod) the UI is updated to show the new character selection but NOWHERE does it display whether or not someone selected their mod. This has led to matches being started while people were still on the mod selection screen and so they ended up without any mod being set.

Latter issue actually legit resulted in me refusing to play this game after my friend ragequit due to the race being started too early. Because of this I really have to downrate the game from 9/10 to about 6/10 just for this one issue. It is really a pity when otherwise great games get massively spoiled by a tiny oversight from the developers.

Still I'd probably recommend you check out this game as it is way better than Mario Kart.

This game largely exists for SAO fans. If you like SAO, you stand a good chance of enjoying this game, and I would definitely give it a try. If you don't, the game will probably make no sense to you and doesn't really have enough redeeming qualities to be worth playing.

I was kinda nervous about buying this game given the price tag, but I've managed to sink a lot of hours in to the game, and definitely ended up with better value for money than many of the other games in my library. So, in the end, I think I made the right call by buying it.

This is a classic. It is best enjoyed with OpenRCT2 and the Ginever Community Content pack.
