One of the absolute finest action games ever wrought by human hands. It's not as good as Blood, but nothing is, and it's still pretty damn close. This wonderful 25th anniversary update restores everything from the CD version you had as a kid, except for the bugs. Camera tilt when you strafe, the original weapon bob animation, the original firing rate for the MP5, and finally, finally, an up-scaled HUD that's not invisible on higher resolutions. This is as close to perfect that Half-Life can get. This is how video games should be remastered.

This game kicks ass, yet another home run from the FPS renaissance. It is pretty short, I beat it in about 5 hours on my first run, but it's all killer and no filler, and there will hopefully be more chapters coming out in the near future. The fact that this was made by basically one guy is awe-inspiring stuff. Give him your money.

In my eyes, Hedon is quite simply the finest game to come out of the ongoing First-Person Shooter renaissance. I like it better than Dusk, Amid Evil, Cultic, Ion Maiden, or Cruelty Squad, and all those games are basically masterpieces, so I don't say that lightly. This is like if Looking Glass Studios teamed up with Monolith Productions to make a spiritual successor to Strife.

Do you like FPS games with amazing weapons and action up the butt? Buy Hedon immediately.
Do you like fantasy games with well-crafted lore and beautiful environment design? Buy Hedon immediately.
Do you like immersive sim type games with incredible atmosphere and huge levels to explore? Buy Hedon immediately.
Do you like heavy metal music? Buy Hedon immediately.
Do you like extremely muscular blue or green chicks in skimpy clothing? Well, then it's probably in your library already!

Get this game.

I haven't finished this game yet but it is absolutely amazing. It is a work of art. Give these developers 20 dollars and play this game right now. If you liked The Thing and/or The Blob, then buy this game right now. Some Akira vibes mixed in there as well. It is a gorgeous piece of programming magic, I can't even begin to imagine how much work went into it, and I love the fact that it exists. Buy this game. It is a thing you must behold.

Nuclear Throne is the only Roguelite I have any love for. This game feels like a classic cointhief twin-stick arcade shooter made 30 years too late. If it were an actual arcade game, I would have already spent at least 100 dollars in quarters playing it.

The sheer amount of love, effort, blood, sweat, and tears that went into this game is apparent from the minute you first boot it up. The gargantuan cast of playable characters with their radically differing playstyles will keep you coming back over and over again. The weapon roster and semi-random mutation system ensures that no two playthroughs are exactly alike, even when playing as the same character back-to-back for three hours straight. And speaking of which, since every playthrough will only last 10-30 minutes on average, this is also a fantastic "lunch break" game, but it's also a great way to get fired since you'll want to have "just one more go" when there's 2 minutes left until you get back on your shift.

What we have here is absolutely a 5/5 video game: one of the best of the best, whether you're talking about indie games or big-budget AAA releases. I wouldn't have put over 200 hours into this game if it wasn't completely fantastic. Also, the music is awesome. It's only 12 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars. Buy this game right now if you don't own it. Vlambeer deserves your money.

Are you a fan of classic Max Payne? Yes? Then stay far, far away from this offensive piece of trite modernized tripe, unless you want to end up as a bigger alcoholic than Max. About as unpleasant for fans of the series as the vomitous Hollywood film starring Mark Wahlberg.

As if that weren't enough it's also 33 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gigabytes, so it'll take up the space that 5 other not-♥♥♥♥ games could be occupying.

Did you like Dark Souls 1? You thought it was a rad game despite its pretty numerous flaws? Well you'll be glad to hear that Dark Souls 2 adds even more flaws onto the pile while simultaneously taking all the cool enjoyable stuff that made the first game worth playing and throwing them in a fire!

What a pile of tripe. At best, buy it when it drops down to bargain bin price; a game worth 50 bucks, this is not.
