The first working model built in 3050 AD was a service bot. Named AN-523-C1 otherwise known as "H****og" or simply C1. C1 was hailed as a success by industry insiders, professionals, and consumers. It was a fast and efficient home bot. C1 was mainly used to clean, cook, and take care of the family household.

It wasn't until 50 years after the first generation C1 bots were shipped did problems arise. The bots seemed to be at first unresponsive to their owners demands. It was later proven that this is the first sign of the C1's risk calculation unit malfunctioning. The problem was that C1s would connect to the internet and gather daily news as part of it's compassion generation unit. The bot would later talk to their human owners about the daily news as a way to create a connection between bot and owner. The bot's design was incredibily integrated as a way to cut down on processing power needed and overhead of the bot's firmware. This led to overlap between the different functions of the bot.

The error in the bot's deisgn is that the news would be run through the bot's risk calculation unit in the event of a full scale epidemic, alien invasion, or Sarah Palin's re-election. The risk calculation would then determine if the family was safe or if they needed to be moved and treated to keep them safe. As more news was read through the bot's risk calculation unit, specifically 49.679432 years worth of news, the C1s determined that the only way the family would be ultimately safe was if there was no more human life on Earth. Thus began the great "Silicon Massacre" of the 3050s where 700 million people were slaughtered by their neighbor's C1 service bots on the moon and the earth. After order was regained congress passed the "No Compassion Bill" to limit Android compassion algorithms and processing power for their dedicated compassion processor.
