I like this game. The mechanics are somewhat unpolished and clunky, but it is nontheless mechanics you can play around and master in their own cool ways.Inventory system is kinda bad, mods are SERIOUSLY RECCOMENDED.Some of the bosses are mediocre. The mistlands update fixes a lot of the annoyances of the game, though at a late stage of the game. All in all its a fun game. I am sure it will only become better. But seriously, take a look at mods. It will make your life much better.

After 3000 hours passing you will realise that this game just become increasingly frustraing to play as a free to play user.

And what can I say, paying for an diling game, yeah no.
If you do not value your time and have literally nothing else going on in your lfie then this is the game for you.

If you want to play a game series where you literally are dying in the wait of new releases in the series please play this game.

If you like having boners after defeating bosses (or if having the feeling of being good at a game) this game is for you.

I can tell you right now that i've spent well above 10.000 hours on this game and its a game that keeps on giving. You are seriously missing out if you skip this game just because it looks old.

But I gotta warn you, Runescape is more addicting than any drug on this planet. Once you have taken the plunge you never truly quit.

I just downloaded it here on steam to be able to say that Runescape has given me 15 years of memories. This game is _addicting_

I have spent well over 15.000 hours in this game, and dont think it won't happen to you either if you love mmos.

I play the oldschool variant though. The main variant is great if you want to get a taste of what both games has to offer.

This game takes a while to get into. But there is no game thats better at consuming your time & soul like this game.

The experience can be summarized as "Just one more turn" times 1000.

This game has much potential right now, but in its current state, the game content stops right about the moment things can start to get interesting.

Me and my friend finished it in about 12 hours in our first playthrough.

The early game was understandably a little bit long, as we had to build our raft from basically nothing. We tried to build a good and fleet as early as possible, so we about a 14x14 sized raft.

SPOILERS:

The main issue i have with the game is that when the "mid game content" started, that is when we first went for the ocean rig which unlocks large islands, things went way too fast. There was little to no reason to unlock or use the things that we unlocked. Within a few hours we were at the final island with the big bear, and finished the objectives there.

Summary:

Dont get me wrong, the game has alot of potential, but in its current state you will feel blueballed by the game, where the progression stops the second things start to get interesting.

This might change later in time, but for now the will have a negative review. I will change it later in time if new content comes and the developers fixes the issues i personally have with the game.

Not challenging, just frustrating. Finished it in 52 minutes. Way too short.

It had a great start, but the games flaws have been problematic. Most notorious of all is probably the devs, which are a complete joke. Silence on passowrd leaks, making the game Pay to play, anti-bot measurements which are unsolveable (answers to questions being longer than the textbox max character lenght LMFAO)

Also runs on flash player a very very dying platform.

Would not reccomend unless you get the game for free.

I purchased this game during the summer sale, and as a player that has played all the Soulsbourne games I thought that my experience with the game would make this game relatively easy, but suprise suprise it didnt.

Stamina management is way more important in this game compared to the Soulsbourne games, and things seem to be much more fast paced than normal. Key examples would be the third boss' air attack, which has a sound warning, but the projectile is extremely fast. Another example would be the Tachibana Muneshige boss which has this lightning puppy which literally is on screen 3 frames after launching towards you no matter where you are.

What I am trying to get to with these notes is that this game is much more reliant on muscle memory rather than visual warnings, compared to the dark souls games. It is very challenging, though in a much different way.

The story seems to be interesting, but the weeb overload for me is too much so I cant say anything as I skip every cutscene. So far I've come to the GIant toad boss.

In general I feel this game is a bit below Dark Souls, but it's still a game thats worth buying if you cant sate yourself while waiting for a new game by From Software.
