Pros to using Source Filmmaker:
- Easy to learn
- Great 3D animation tool for beginners.
- Many models to choose from, whether they're on the workshop or elsewhere.

Cons to using Source Filmmaker:
- Crashes extremely often
- Low Quality animations
- Somewhat buggy

Do I reccomend SFM? Simply put, yes. Even though it has many, many flaws, it is a great beginner 3D animation program, as it's simple to learn and use, there are a huge amount of models to choose from and it has a still thriving community of animators and modellers.

BUT, I would absolutely reccomend moving onto other applications such as Maya or Blender if you're 100% serious about wanting to make animations. Even though SFM may have a bigger community and more models, Blender has much higher quality animations and you can just do so much more in it.

TL;DR - Great for beginners, but move onto Blender when you've becomed experienced enough.

10/10 for new people, 3/10 for experienced animators.
