Better than Battlefield 1 in almost every way.

-Guns are better
-Music is better
-Maps are better
-Maps are not behind DLC only cosmetic stuff
-Vehicles are more fun to play as solo, esp. the tanks
-Fun but gimmicky side weapons
-At least for me, I've experienced a lot less hackers than in BF1 (European servers)
-Panzestorm on breakthrough is an orgasmic experience
-Runs well on mid range pcs

Don't let gamers (TM) put you off with their winging of historical accuracy because I prefer 5 over 1

Call of Duty: World at War in my opinion is a fun game.

I have never really played a COD game (apart from COD 3 on the Wii) however after playing this it makes me want to play a classic COD game.

This game has gotten me intereset in the series (or maby just the WW2 aspect of the franchise) however some things in the game did annoy me.
At times I did find the game to be a bit cheesy, as it puts you upon a pedistall and the game says that you are the most important character out of this entire war. (This is even more clear when it comes to the end of the Soviet campaign) I don't really want this in a game about such a conflict, although this didn't bother me too much.
My least favourite campaign was the Pacific campaingn, it was also the one were my computer struggled a bit.
It was just going through trenches one after another burning everything in site. This is were my potato of my computer also nearly died. Throughout this campaign you will use a flamethrower and this killed my frames. One level in particular nearly set my computer alight. However if you have got a decent computer the game will run fine.
I was a bit dissapointed that there wasn't much variation in levels. I counted only two levels were you were in a vehical. All the other levels were just boots on ground. It did all start to feel the same after some time.
However that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy my time with this game. The shootouts were fun to me, but might feel stale to players who have played other COD games. In addition the two vehical levels were fun as well. There are few weapon variations but after some time in game I felt that all weapons fell into catagories of; Bolt-action, Semi-automatic, automatic and special weapons. (i.e. The flamethower or the Panzerschreck)

Overall I enjoyed most of my time with the game. Although this game might feel stale to people who have played other COD games. No, I haven't played the zombie mode, since I've got no-one to play with so I can't really talk about it.

I would give this game a 7/10.
