Great game when it came out, then it sucked. The kept nerfing everything that made the game good. Most players are just casual players who want to just destroy bugs/bots and just be a bit OP. If I wanted to sweat, I'd go play some PVP like CSGO or COD. This isn't that type of game - it's a feel good game. Let the players continue to be able to destroy and have fun. Ever since they reverted all the unnecessary nerfs, the game is massively fun again to me and my friends. Keep the nerfs away. Let the destruction of the terminids and automatons keep rolling!

Absolutely stunning. Well developed and smooth. I ran into a few small bugs during the release of the game (Oculus user here) where weird things would happen, but a quick save and reload later, I was back in action. I know these bugs will be fixed in no time - and they really weren't game breaking. The immersion of the game is surreal. Well done Valve. While 13 years is a bit long to wait - I feel the wait was well worth it.

I really enjoy the game. Good mechanics, fun to play, fast paced... this game is off to a GREAT start!
However, the Pay 2 Win model doesn't fly these days. If it were only for cosmetics (such as what PUBG, Overwatch, CSGO, etc) use, I would easily give this game a positive review.

Rockshot devs - PLEASE take a close look at why EA is backtracking for Battlefield 5, and why the other games mentioned above are pay for cosmetics only. If you go the cosmetic for real money only route, you'll gain WAY more interest in this game. Even if you charged a bit up front (say $10 or $20) - that would make it much more successful than a pay 2 win model. This isn't a mobile game, so don't treat it like one.

If you take out the pay 2 win element and make it cosmetic only, I'll absolutely change this to a positive review, as it's deserving of one. Until then, I cannot endorse such low-blowing tactics.

The Pay to Win models needs to die. You are eliminating a HUGE playerbase who just can't afford to pay a ton of money just to keep a slight and/or major edge on other players. It's insanely unfair and not in any way moral.

EDIT:

The devs have listened, and have chimed in on the matter. In case you can't see it:

Hi!
We received a lot of feedback that spending money in the shop provides players with an unfair advantage by granting them access to more powerful weapons. As reaction, we changed this today! You can now only purchase weapons for Dollen, the ingame currency you earn by playing. This includes also the Gachas that contain weapons. We hope you appreciate this change and give the game another try!"

True to my word, I am changing this review to positive. I'm glad the devs are listening, and are backtracking on the hated Pay to Win model. HUGE props to the devs for listening and realizing this mistake early on. If they go back, I'll be sure to edit my review again - but I don't think they'll do this. I don't mind being able to spend money on cosmetic items - ESPECIALLY for a free game! I wish this game nothing but success from here on out <3

Could have been a good game, but recent decisions on the game (including micro-transactions instead of fixing the real issues they are having in EA), i can't recommend it. They have mislead players, and they even ban players for 'purposeful TKing" and "stream sniping", even though there is no good way to prove it.

Steer clear for now. Re-evauluate after full release.

Been playing for a while now (since beta.. even pre-beta). 10/10 game, easily. The development team poured their hearts into this game, and it really shows. They were quick to fix issues during the beta, and the released version is absolutely fantastic. Great job on the release! Looking forward to playing many, many hours of this game!

These guys are on the right track. I'm hooked! Already set up a private server. I hope ONLY for the best for the creators of this game.

Think of this game like a mix of Day-Z, Rust, and Minecraft, except with dinosaurs, and much better. It just came out, and it's alway way better than Day-Z in terms of stability and.. well.. fun.

As mentioned, it's still in Alphia - and it's got a ways to go. I'm looking forward to MANY hours playing this game.
