One of the games you'll always remember.
It can take a bit to get into the groove of the game while you figure out what it's deal is.

But if you push through the initial hump, you'll be rewarded with an experience and story that you'll treasure forever.

This game is nothing but a pure grind and time sink.
If you're looking for that, I'd recommend an idle clicker over this.

No skill required. Just time.

And yet, for as basic a game as it is. I still hear all my fans irk up for hardware stress, in the middle of winter.
I don't get that when running games like Death Stranding on full settings in 1440p.

I was lured in by the theme, but it's really just not worth it.

Early Access Review
One of the best games to just chill out with.
Dorf sits in a unique space, if this was a single player board game, I'd have a table set up at my house with this just sitting there, always ready to go.
Full release has expanded the feature set but there is really nothing too complex here, just sit down and enjoy.

For a free game, Halo Infinite is a great return to form for the franchise, and to launch Day 1 for free on PC alongside Xbox is still difficult to believe.
The gameplay is really fun, the grappleshot is a sick addition to the sandbox.
Currently the number of playlists and tiny and the amount of content in multiplayer certainly needs expanding as features are missing. As a service game this is likely to come in the future if you are willing to come along for the ride.
Unfortunately, as a free game, there are problems.
The battle pass is pretty grim. Free/earned customisation is hard to find amongst the paid cosmetics. Although, they have atleast kept their promise that it is cosmetic only.

Halo Infinite has had a great start with multiplayer. I'm keen to checkout campaign for myself on launch and see whether the open-world sticks the landing.
I'm also hopeful that as a service game the modes, content and sandbox will be expanded as we go forward. I just hope it's not too drawn out and that the monetisation hopefully tones down it's egregiousness.

Fantastic.
The setting/story was not what I expected from my lack of attention to this game and it's creators.

But the visual fidelity of the settings, and the superb delivery methods of exposition made me feel so invested in uncovering the structure of the Bureau.

To back this up, solid gameplay with abilities that feel fluid and very powerful. Plus they spread out introducing new enemy types just long enough to make you feel comfortable with your play style before introducing a counter.

Very keen for the follow up!

Whilst this game starts of well and tickles my nostalgia for Theme Hospital, it seems to fail to grow into anything more or different.
I'd be happy enough to label the game as enough as is for just the nostalgia, but then the apt reminders that there are lots of levels to play around with if I decide to buy the 10 or so DLC packs that exist irk me.
Perhaps if the game felt cleaner or didn't include deliberate mechanics for forcing you to try to get friends to buy and play the game with you (to complete the collaborative projects) I'd be tempted to purchase the DLCs which might make the game enjoyable enough to drop a thumbs up.
But it isn't so I shisn't.

After Paper's Please, I was incredibly excited to see what Lucas' next project would be.

Obra Dinn is very different and I knew only a small amount before heading into it, which was definetly for the best. An abandoned ship has drifted back to port. Armed with just a compass that can allow someone to re-live a dead body's last moments alive, you are required to figure out what happened to the ship and her crew.

What starts out slow and expected, quickly becomes something else entirely.
This was a great game to play with my partner as we worked on solving the mystery together.
Highly Recommend.
