Third-person action/adventure game with the 3rd of the Four Horsemen! I really loved the first two games so that is why I decided to get this one too. I enjoyed it a lot despite some flaws. Gunfire games decided to go with a "souls" style gameplay and I love it (despite the fact that there is no map/minimap). Great game though, doesn't deserve negative reviews.

The story and character background are mediocre, capture the 7 deadly sins and bring them to the council. Nothing more to say here but I loved how this game looked.
Although it is semi-open world It has an excellent level design with decent puzzles (not bug puzzles though, those are straightforward once you figure it out for the first time), which gives you a bit of breathing time from combat. Most of the levels are matching the theme of the next boss, which is another nice touch. You will always encounter diverging paths for unlocking shortcuts and reveal hidden/valuable items which may be guarded by Elite (black) enemies. Keep in mind that most of the places will be unreachable until you get a specified Hollow form.
Bosses themselves are done in a decent manner. Most of them have 2 stages but not all of them feel balanced. Some of them have a drastic change between phases while others have just an additional "one-shot" attacks. Since "one-shot" attacks are a thing on Apocalyptic difficulty and your checkpoints are way too far, it all comes to mastering your dodging (which was patched by devs to make perfect dodges more consistent), and is the main reason why majority of players are upset, since Darksiders franchise was never this hard, to begin with. Nevertheless, it made me love the game even more than the previous two.
Story progression will reward you 4 Hollow forms in total (Fire, Storm, Force and Static) and all of them have their unique weapon, special effect/interaction and wrath modes. Although I was using my starter weapon as my main for the most of the time, still there was a point in upgrading others to break guards.
Enchanting a weapon is another way of making Fury unstoppable but you have to look for them and upgrade resources because most of them are hidden from the plain sight. In all honesty, only 3 enchantments were used in my playthrough. Gathering souls, Healing from attacks and More souls = More damage. The rest felt unnecessary considering how generous the game is with consumables. Even if you run out of the specific consumable, you can always purchase it in the shop, but the price will keep rising.
Lastly, levelling is important in order to boost your survivability (because armor here is just a cosmetic effect which is BAD) and damage, especially if you do not want to spend minutes of dancing around a single enemy in order to kill it. Only 3 attributes though: max health, physical and arcane damage. They could at least add special moves in here.
As for bugs I had very few of them (like respawning inside of the object) but force respawning helped to "unstuck" in these situations. Experienced a crash only once, but that was because of OBS.

What I disliked the most: Item descriptions/tutorials pop up right in the middle of the fight breaking away the immersion and probably your combo.
What infuriated me the most: Button mapping is horrible and my controller did not want to work properly with it.

It is hard to not get impressed by the model and level design. Combined with the lighting the game looks phenomenal.
There is enough detail to each type of enemy: from an electric eel to an armoured shieldbearer. There are some problems in levels itself, but nothing too serious.
The game is very hard to run on 4k 60fps on "Epic" setting because of its optimisation. On my rig, FPS jumped from low 40s to mid-60s. Lowering your resolution will solve your problems since timing is important in this game, you don't want to miss your dodge window.

The voice range of Fury varies pretty well which shows her emotions from sudden betrayal to relieved jokes. But not all secondary characters designed in the same manner: Lord of the Hollows always sounded intriguing and made me question whether to trust him or not. On the other hand, the Council was over the top. I could not tell whether they feel happy or angry sometimes. Overall voices are great.
Soundtracks are awesome. It does a magnificent job to amplify the theme and feel of the level, especially the underwater one. This combined with other sound effects makes it ideal for me. Heavy blows to the ground, muffled gate openings under the water and others are all part of the immersion.
