I love spending time in the black CMDRs... There's nothing else quite like it.

I've put in nearly a thousand hours of flight time in since Elite Dangerous went free on Epic Store. I've seen worlds none have seen before. 5000 hyper jumps made. 200,000 ly travelled. 2,700 systems visited. 4,000 passengers ferried. 11,000 civilians rescued. 1,800 bounties claimed. The credits flow freely and I'm knee deep in materials. Life in the black has been good.

I love the game so much I came back to Steam, my preferred platform, to pay for a copy because the developers deserve it. I'm going to pay for Odyssey even though Space Legs (tm) are not all that interesting to me. Honestly, I'm only paying pennies on the hour for how much enjoyment I've gotten out of this game.

This space sim won't be everyone's cup of tea. It doesn't hold your hand and the learning curve can feel steep. Much of the gameplay story is that which you write for yourself as you play in this giant space sandbox. I've been a trucker, mercanary, rescue pilot, a smuggler, and explorer. It's looking like I'm gearing up next to help defend humanity against the growing Thargoid threat. What are you going to be CMDR?
