It's a great game with a ton of potential as Paradox games usually are, but also suffers from extreme performance degradation as Paradox games usually do. About 20-30 years into the game, it becomes a slog to play and only continues to get worse. I've never finished a V3 game. I've never even gotten to the 1900s. It's just too painfully slow.

The core gameplay is fun, it's just another massacre-fest like L4D and Vermintide. But the rest of the game screams unfinished and not well thought out. No crafting, rewards don't feel rewarding at all which is especially bad considering how rarely you get them, gear progression is a joke because you basically just camp the one store waiting for it to reset every hour and hope they have what you want, repetitive missions due to lack of actual levels. There's what? 4 different levels for all the missions to take place on? Boss diversity is non-existant.

All in all, this should have been an EA game. I'll probably still play it just for the mindless slaughtering here and there, but I can't really recommend it.

Easily my 2022 GOTY.

Animal Crossing couldn't even keep my attention for 10 minutes, but I'm addicted to this game. Can't wait for more content!

Big fan of the re-release so far. Feels like what Battlefield should be, with some Tarkov mixed in. Had no issues playing at all. Performance was great and nearly no lag.

Predatory micro-microtransactions

One of the few good RTSs to come out lately. A great successor to AoE2

Halo meets Portal?

Connection issues aside since they'll be fixed eventually, the game is amazing. I'm loving it.
