Aiming is fun and hit detection works for the most part, outside of headshotting common infected.

Fighting endless hordes enemies is as repetitive and meaningless as shooting hordes of mindless zombies. Enemy behavior, AI, and variety isn't variable enough, all enemy types considered. Stealth rules/conditions are too flawed and arbitrary.

Very fun but very short, fighting sometimes feels low pressure. The mapping and the locations and the atmosphere is incredible.

its either too boring because nothing can hit you, or it hits you and you die in 1 shot.

Even though the armor/weapon paintjob colorscreme seems kind of simplistic at first, it still has good bright red/yellows on some weapons/skins to contrast with black/white. But the best part of this pack are the alternative weapon frameworks (models). Weapons like m1000, assault rifle, bulldog revolver or zhukovs in first person look very nice and "modern". And if u dont use the megacorp frameworks for some guns, the paintjob still works with all other frameworks.

The mapping is pathetic, guns are unenjoyable to use. Enemies are reskinned fast and slow hl2 zombies, sometimes theres one with 2x or 3x times health. Gameplay is rushing through empty or poorly decorated rooms/crate yards and shooting zombies that block your path, and skipping those that do not.

The art style, humor and overall feel has switched from subtle, ridiculous but at the same time serious, to overwhelmingly cringy, tryhard and childish. Every Sam's quote feels forced and has 0 substance to it, and what makes it worse is all Sam's voice quotes sound like they've been recorded inside an empty barrel.
Gibbing enemies is very unsatisfying, feels like they're all made out of plastic and fall into 3-4 pieces like little lego men.
Battles are repetitive, a lot of the time its 1-2 enemy types getting spammed, and most of the time enemies are teleported in packs around 8 times in a row, so you never walk into a room with enemies already in it.
Fighting doesnt require much effort, and to avoid damage from most enemies, all it takes is moving sideways in 1 direction (As opposed to different enemies having different ways of how they need to be dodged in other SS games), and if youre fighting things that shoot bullets, well then it may not matter how swift you are, get prepared to find cover and hide like a rat.
Presence of vehicles and turrets (Which must have been a trend at the time) makes gameplay even more repetitive.

The main saving grace for this is playing it in cooperative - then the enemy repetition isnt felt as much, because things die quicker and whatever is happening with the "story" can be ignored.

Cant turn off mouse acceleration, cant change mouse semsitivity aiming-down-sights/hip-fire separately - ADS is 5-8 times slower. Mouse behavior is also dependant on fps.
Shooting bullets at enemies is delayed by ping, which means to hit them, you have to either wait for them to stop moving, or you need to constantly guess where they're going by shooting infront of them.

As opposed to borderlands 2, here theres no memes or childish jokes, humor is unobtrusive and is not annoying after playing many times, characters actually feel cool and dont try to shove their originality up your throat. Some levels can be monotonous with desert and badlands and rust and trash coast but i view it as non-intrusive and chill. There is no need to farm bosses for hours because good equipment can be bought in shops if you have enough money.
Playing revolver mordecai and trying to go only for headshots, while moving yourself, is very good aiming practice. Unfortunately to get crisp gameplay a person must use external sites and dig in the config files to remove smooth framerate, mouse smoothing, oneFrameThreadLag and set their sensitivity/Fov bind (Borderlands2 fixed SOME of those but i wasnt able to change configs in bl2 to fix the rest)
